This bug has been frustrating me for days. The keyboard pops up covering the text box, or field that you are supposed to be typing in. You then have to hide it to see what you have typed, so you really typing blind. Makes it very difficult and leads to many soling mistaiks. Impossible to reposition cursor in the right place to resolve this , eve now I can't see what I have just typed. Please sort this basic problem Apple!! I'm on iPad Air running on iOS 8.0.2

This workaround with split keyboard off won't work on iPhone.

Even after 8.1 update, this bug of keyboard and text field covering the text is still there!

I reported it.

There were a few instances of keyboard not showing up at all.

Earlier the imessage freezed and I had to restart it.

Strangely the message is auto scrolling now!

Will see if it keeps it like this.

My ipad Air does this in Safari, when I touch on the search bar in google to input text, the keyboard pops up and covers where I am typing. Eventually the page behind the keyboard scrolls up. Its annoying.

Thanks Jaxx52 - going to split keyboard and then back to normal again has fixed the problem completely for me.

What do you mean by the tiny board? No matter what I do the split keyboard positions itself squarely over the window where I'm typing. There needs to an option to split and dock at the bottom at the same time. Please explain again what the solution to this problem was. I don't see it.

bbut I like the keyboard split, I just want to know how to dock and split at the same time so that the keyboard does cover what I'm trying to type. How do I move the split keyboard down to the bottom of the screen?
