iOS 8.0.2 Did not fix BlueTooth issues!

I see everyone posting ways to fix this but nothing works. It may work for a short while but then goes back to unable to make or rcv calls on BlueTooth in the car.

CNN Has finally picked this issue up. Hopefully Apple will now do something ASAP! I am ready to take my phone back and get a competitors model.

It does not matter how many times you reset all settings or network settings or wipe you cars bluetooth memory or change the phone name, etc. It does not work. I have been struggling with this since launch day of iOS8. I have 2 iPhone 5's with the exact same issue and they had no such issue for 2 years before iOS 8.

For those who post things like "The reset worked for me!" I ask that you shut your phone off or do an iTunes sync or backup and then let us know how it's working. Probably no success. It will revert to the same bluetooth issue.

I am terribly upset over this. I can't believe that Apple of all companies would have such a problem. It should "JUST WORK" but it doesn't. Very sad.

I do hope something gets done this weekend because I am ready to return it and move on to something else. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Apple fan. I have a couple iPads, a MacBook Pro, Apple TV, 2 iPhone 5's, 1 iPhone 5c and an iPhone 6 now. But if this doesn't get fixed soon, I have no choice to dump my phone and move on.

The worst part is that we pay so much for a premium product and I don't expect these "amateur" issues.

Also people forget about going to your car dealership to get a bluetooth update as the Apple support people are telling everyone, including me.

So, please, Apple... Don't leave us hanging like this.

I have an iphone 5s and also having bluetooth problems with my 2010 Mazda 3. The phone connects to the car with no problem and I can receive calls through bluetooth. When I try to make a call it defaults back to the phone and I have to manually change the "source" back to the car. Worked perfectly before IOS 8 and 8.0.2. Very frustrating!!!

Just today I am unable to receive or make calls via my car bluetooth using my iphone 6 plus with the 8.0.2 update that I installed last night. It was working fine yesterday before the update. I went to the Lexus dealer today and the technology specialist told me that she has been inundated with similar calls complaining of all types of iphones with the new 8-8.0.2 update causing the inablility to make or receive phone calls in their car. Please fix this ASAP. It's not safe driving while holding a big iphone 6 plus in your hand.

Hey everyone-

Im in the same boat, started a thread . My hands free system worked fine with iOS 8 out of the box new iphone 6. Did the update this morning and i can stream music perfectly fine however i cannot make or receive calls through hands free system.

I have not tried resetting the settings like most people indicate is working. I feel like I shouldn't have to reset anything, even less mess with settings with an update coming from apple. it should "Just Work"

Some people who reset said it works for a few hours, other say it don't work, and I don't know what I should do.

Car: Hyundai Sonata 2014

NOTE: I was able to replicate the issue in my wifes Hyunday Elentra 2013.

This is how I know its not a defect with the BT in my car.
