iOS 8.0.2 Did not fix BlueTooth issues!

I see everyone posting ways to fix this but nothing works. It may work for a short while but then goes back to unable to make or rcv calls on BlueTooth in the car.

CNN Has finally picked this issue up. Hopefully Apple will now do something ASAP! I am ready to take my phone back and get a competitors model.

It does not matter how many times you reset all settings or network settings or wipe you cars bluetooth memory or change the phone name, etc. It does not work. I have been struggling with this since launch day of iOS8. I have 2 iPhone 5's with the exact same issue and they had no such issue for 2 years before iOS 8.

For those who post things like "The reset worked for me!" I ask that you shut your phone off or do an iTunes sync or backup and then let us know how it's working. Probably no success. It will revert to the same bluetooth issue.

I am terribly upset over this. I can't believe that Apple of all companies would have such a problem. It should "JUST WORK" but it doesn't. Very sad.

I do hope something gets done this weekend because I am ready to return it and move on to something else. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Apple fan. I have a couple iPads, a MacBook Pro, Apple TV, 2 iPhone 5's, 1 iPhone 5c and an iPhone 6 now. But if this doesn't get fixed soon, I have no choice to dump my phone and move on.

The worst part is that we pay so much for a premium product and I don't expect these "amateur" issues.

Also people forget about going to your car dealership to get a bluetooth update as the Apple support people are telling everyone, including me.

So, please, Apple... Don't leave us hanging like this.

I am with you, I have a brand new card and the Bluetooth didn't work at all. After almost two hours with Apple Technician told us the Senior person instructed him to tell us to take the car to the dealership. What is wrong with Apple staff? Acting like customers we are stupid. I felt they insulted my intelligence. I have a feeling they will not going to fix the problem. When I called ATT sale person told me you can change to another phone and you will be charge $35.00 to open the Iphone6 box.. Incredible to believe. What is wrong with this company and Apple? They want me to keep a phone so expensive that is not work properly and they wants more car accidents.

that is my opinion about Apple product.

Same problem with Audi. It does not work. I've tried deleting all bluetooth devices and spent too much time On this. It needs a patch! Seems to be a common problem. I was on phone with Apple Support for an hour and they would not confirm this as a software issue. See below from Audi:

Unfortunately the iPhone 6 is not yet compatible. The iOs 8 versions have been freezing our systems. We are currently waiting for Apple to come out with another version of iOs to address this.

Fixed this. I'm not really sure if my fix works for others in this thread but thought I would share anyway.

The restore did not work for me, it continued after that. The culprit for me ended up being an app constantly crashing, probably once every second or so. I eventually found my way to Settings>Privacy>Diagnostics & Usage>Diagnostics & Usage which was filled with errors referring to that app. Deleted the app and all my problems went away. The app is Vonage Business Solutions (our office VOIP provider) and I happen to know I had the latest version of the app since I had updated all my apps the night before the 8.0.2 upgrade. It was fine for that day until the ios upgrade.

I'm figuring there may be some other bad apps out there.

Hope that might help someone!

MMy ios 8.0.2 on iPhone 4s is still having issues. The keyboard can't keep up with my typing. The wifi says I have one bar when I'm right next to my router. My 7.1 ios was full bars on wifi all aroUnd the house. The notifications bar won't swipe away. Sometimes videos on various websites won't load, or the video will freeze and not play. This is not good. It messes up the phone and our daily lives. So Frustrating.

Same troubles here with my EU Lexus IS300h which had a flawless connection with my iPhone 5S before the IOS 8 upgrade. The 8.0.2 update didn't fix it at all. Considering to use my Samsung Android device again in case we have to wait for a proper fix for too long.

I spent a lot of time in my car having phone calls for my job, but in this way it is quite a mission impossible.

Apple please provide a solution for this quick.

I am having the exact same issue. Under 8.0.0 bluetooth worked fine, I upgraded to 8.0.2 and I was able to get the phone to connect to my car bluetooth, when I made a call through my car, the car disconnects every time and transfers the call to my phone. Now I'm stuck in an endless loop, the car bluetooth thinks that the phone is making the call and the phone won't let you transfer the call back to the car. Deleting profiles in my car and on my phone didn't fix it no matter how many times I did it. To fix it, I backed up my phone, downloaded 8.0.0 and reinstalled the software. So far it has worked just like it did before I made the mistake of upgrading to 8.0.2.

Apple, why would you fix the code for the bluetooth when it didn't need fixing. You have screwed the pooch on this one and a fix is needed ASAP.

Hey I have an iPhone 5c and my wife has a 5s and we found out that our bluetooth from our VW jetta will now not play Youtube video in the standard audio format but the phone sends the signal as a "phone call." So now YouTube's audio quality is severely diminished. Music from ITunes plays fine. I think thirs party support might have to intervene amd change their apps around.

For me, the Bluetooth disconnect happens when I'm using Siri.

Listening to music, works fine. Then, I try to use Siri to send a hands-free text, or have Siri type something into a message. Then it disconnects the A2DP Bluetooth connection to my Clarion car radio (Oddly enough, the HFP connection does not get interrupted.). On IOS7, the music (iTunes, Pandora, etc) would resume playing after Siri was "done". But now, it kills the connection.

At the point, I can turn the Bluetooth OFF and ON again, but it doesn't reconnect. I do have to manually re-select my radio from a list of Bluetooth devices.

I bought the iPhone 6 on launch day (with iOS 8.0) and was having no problems making Bluetooth calls in my 2011 Infiniti G37. But after updating to iOS 8.0.2, my iPhone still connects to Bluetooth when I start my car and Siri still works over Bluetooth, but phone calls do NOT work over Bluetooth!!!

After reading about all the Bluetooth problems other people were having with 8.0.2, I decided to downgrade my iPhone 6 back to iOS 8.0. This did NOT fix the problem! It appears that installing iOS 8.0.2 must also do some type of firmware update to the hardware of the phone and downgrading to iOS 8.0 does not undo that. So I still have the same problem even though I downgraded back to 8.0. :-(

I certainly hope that Apple releases another update soon to fix this because not being able to use Bluetooth in the car for phone calls is a pain in the butt (not to mention illegal in many states).

iOS 8.0.2 Did not fix BlueTooth issues!
