iPad Mini Retina iOS 8.0.2 problem
Ever since I updated to iOS 8.0.2, there's been random reboots on my device. Is this happening to anybody else?

I did yet another full restore on my ipad2 3G. This time I have set up as a new iPAD. I had absolutely no apps on it. Added only one app Smart Memory Pro which shows I only have 56-80 mb free RAM until I have Smart memory pro run and frees up 260-300mb. Of course, I have to select it to run to free up the RAM. Would love to know of an app or why Apple cannot design and run similar to be in background freeing up RAM. Does not seem that challenging.
OF course, restoring as a new iPad with no apps installed I tried the whole copy paste and had same results as previously ... Unable to overwrite old copy info to paste. One "work around" that seems to work ..... While in Safari If I select copy URL or share via message ..... If the Ino is put into message I can copy from there and, so far, able to then paste into another app or elsewhere, correctly. Its definitely not not a solution.
YYes, I am having the same problem.
Woody, my reply was to the person who wrote the following! He had upgraded his iPad 2 to iOS 8, it wasn't doing well, and concluded that it was time to buy a Samsung...
"To sum it up my android phone which is a cheapie is faster and more usable than the ipad 2 that i have, I guess its time to buy a Samsung galaxy tablet."
Uh… no! It's time to consider a new iPad! 🙂 It was a tongue-in-cheek remark. That's why I followed it up with suggestions he should try before throwing in the towel. It wasn't clear he had tried any of them!
But my focus was also the following two points:
1. Upgrading the oldest device that Apple supports with the most recent iOS is likely a recipe for disaster. (i.e., iOS 8 on iPad 2)
and
2. "It's really a tough situation-- Apple really needs to give customers a way of rolling back the iOS if they've run into major problems. "
I trust you'd agree with both, especially #2! That's hardly trying to sell new devices to any one!
In any event, the problems clearly are not universal and, when they occur, the fixes have worked for many! (On the iPad Mini RD, that is, which is the subject of the thread!)
trust me I've done this and still in the same boat! Still having major issues with 8.0.2!!!
no word from apple about this is not helping, as the ipad is only a few months old I may just go into a store and demand a full refund on the device as its not fully functional and under Australian law they must refund if there is faults or the device does not work as advertised!
May do the same with my phone too as its having airdrop and Bluetooth issues on 8.0.2!!! 😠
TThe free RAM memory workaround was short lived for copy paste Very frustrating I certainly won't be buying anything new from Apple anytime soon Very disappointed Apple has made no acknowledgement of problem with interest to fix along with the large volume of RAM that new IOS are sucking up Makes for a pretty bad product with apps shutting down, iPad resets Collectively makes for a useless device ....
where are the Apple folks who should be monitoring and commenting on these issues??
Same issues here with my iPad mini retina : it doesnt lose the wifi but it's impossible to navigate for 10 minutes each time it happens, I need to stop/start the wifi option to retrieve my connection.... Again and again and again
No wifi issues with my iphone 5 but iOS 8.0.2 made impossible to call hands free in my car : deleted and linked my devices on both my car and my iPhone in vain.
So to summarize : iOS 8.0.2 broked the wifi on my iPad and broke bluetooth connectivity on my iPhone... Very good job guys !!!!
EExactly the same issues since iOS 8.0.2 keeps losing wifi have rebooted rebuilt contacted Internet provider all comes back to a crap operating system come on Apple sort it out
Hi to all
I think I've fixed my wifi issue : my iPad was connected to the 5ghz signal of my router, tried to switch on the 2,4ghz signal and I didn't encounter any disconnection since then.
Would be glad if that can help some of you.
