Stop or Disable Apple ID Email Notification for Signing on Different Device

I have many devices to sign onto my email. Each time I use a different device, Apple send me an email like this.

Your Apple ID was used to sign in to iCloud via a web browser

Date and Time: September 26, 2014, 1:15 PM EDT

If you recently signed in to iCloud using a web browser, you can disregard this email.

If you have not signed in to iCloud recently and believe someone may have accessed your account, you should reset your password at My Apple ID (https://appleid.apple.com).

Can't I just verify that I use these other devices and web browsers and disable this feature? Or is there away to just stop getting these? How do I do this or who do I call? It also happens when I look for my phone (Find My Iphone App) to see if I left it at the office or grocery store or somewhere else. HELP!

iPhone 4S, iOS 8

There is no "logging out" per se in the scenario that Chris was referring to. If you have a Lock Code on your device, then you won't get the emails.

On the Mac, I logged out and then back in again and went to both iCloud and Find My iPhone, and did not get a message. I did get a message the first time I logged into those apps from my computer. But only the one notification from this computer. If you were to log into it on another computer, you would get the email the first time you logged in on that computer.

The email is generated by going into the Find My iPhone app. If your phone is locked, you cannot do anything until you type in your 4-digit passcode or until you use your Touch ID to unlock the device. It is this process that prevents the email from being sent if you do go into the Find My iPhone app. The internet aspect is not related to this in any way.

But when you first sign in on your iPhone you will get the email right? No - the act of typing in the lock code password or using your Touch ID will not send an email. On a brand new phone you would probably get the message the first time you logged in, but I'm not positive about that. What do you mean by the lock code? Do you mean when you first go onto it like the thumb print one or manual one? Yes So even out of internet it will work right? Yes

Hi - thought I'd put answers to your questions directly, so it might make more sense 🙂

Oh ok I will test that to confirm and let you know.

but your right it's not ideal, I dont need a pass code on my phone normally

thx

I agree. Why trade one irritation that happens only under one circumstance to an irritation that happens every time I access my iPhone? Doesn't work for me. I want the emails to go away. Specifically, the email keeps telling me I am signing on with a new iPhone 5, each time! This is an error, plain and simple. I have posted Feedback to Apple on the issue. Will continue deleting the emails.

Hi,

You will receive this message any time someone uses your username and password to access Find My iPhone or when they log into icloud from a browser or other iOS device. If you DID NOT log into these services at the times indicated in the e-mail you may want to change your password as it could mean that someone knows your account details and is logging in without you knowing. This feature can not be turned off at this time and was enabled as a security precaution after the nude celebrity photo fiasco. If you no longer wish to receive these notifications in your e-mail; the only current way of getting rid of them is to create a rule in your e-mail program to send the apple e-mail to spam or trash as soon as it's received in your inbox.
