iPhone 6 Volume Problem

I have the same issue. What is to be done. I got mine a week ago.

SSimilar problem. Iphobe 6 was a Christmas present. When I watch any videos, the volume starts off fine, then mutes for a quick moment and comes back at a much lower volume. Won't go back up unless I turn it up. Consistantly happens with any video watching. Have restarted the phone. No help. Are these phones lemons when it comes to volume? What can be done. Don't want to waste time trading it in, if the next one is going to be the same or worse. Thanks for the help.

I bought my iPhone 6 on the release day.

Realised the volume buttons' problem in the first few days of use.

Went back to the same Apple Store and they replaced my phone.

A few days later, I realised the same problem on the new phone.

I believe it's an iOS issue. I hope it will be fixed in the next updates.

I have the issue that when I am listening to audio other than a call the volume will go down to a point that it is almost silent. It can't be the BT headset as I have 3 from 3 different manufactures all name brand (Plantronics Beats2Go) I am using an iPhone 6 with the latest iOS 8 on it.

I have had a similar issue. Volume indicator disappears for the ringer and is greyed out in apps like music

Have had my phone for 3 months. problem just started

Also have to restart to fix.

I have the same issue. iPhone 6 Plus iOS 8.3
Volume gets stuck at maximum and headphone volume indicator stays onscreen permanently. Restarting the phone temporarily fixes the problem, but it comes back.Usually happens when using wired headset, but has occured when using Bluetooth headset also.

I think my issue is a little different. My speaker volume suddenly got super low, and there's no way I can get it back to what it should be. I tried turning the volume all the way up, adjusting the volume limit, and turning on the 'hearing aid' setting. None of these things have worked. Does anybody else have this issue?

MY volume makes it way up to full or down to mute regularly when my headphones are in. Have to reboot phone to fix it.

took phone to apple and they could not understand why this was happening and typically it would not happen when I was in the store. Phone was replaced but still happens. This was on iPhone 6. I now have a 6 plus and still happens.??

Hey guys.. I'm a old school tech. For low volume issues. Applies to all iPhones. One step. Tools- all you need is your finger nail. Scratch your fingernail gently against your speaker grill. Side to side for about 15 secs until you see some material pop up. This is whatever is small enough to get trapped in the grill mainly your own ear dust. Then simply blow the dust out with your mouth. Repeat if necessary. Done problem solved. For free! Thanks and your welcome.

Now I will explain some very simple reasons why the sound deplete. Think of a speaker like a home theater system. It's has a protective grill over the speaklet. Now imagine oil spread all over your speaker Grill. This what your ear does to the phone grill. people use the phone more than ever and the constant application to your face and ear develops a big mess in that tiny space use to listen to your calls. Keep it cleaned out and you will not be looking for software upgrades to fix your phone. Peace.
