ACtually, it doesn't work all the time.
YOu are right that it seems to be related to speed of suggestions, so turning them off entirely seems to fix it, However, if they are on (even though you probably rarely use them) and you start typing as soon as the search box arrives, you still get the problem. But, if you give it a moment to catch up, you can sometimes get away with it. which brings me to speed issues...
ANyone else finding that ios8 is a lot slower than 7 was, and that their wi-fi connection is less stable than it used to be?
ALso, why move all the buttons around? The Done button used to switch from right (standard position?) to left, just in the app store, but now they're all doing it. Opening a bookmark should be with open a new tab, not on the left. Forward a photo should never be bottom left, that's silly, and what has happened to the delete text function when you hold the backspace key down? I suppose it was a bit irritating when it gobbled a whole paragraph by mistake sometimes, by why go back to s l o w ? As to accidentally deleting emails with a left swipe... Nuff said?
TRouble is that you use these things so much that you sort of get used to them. So when they get fixed in 8.3. (Yes, 8.3 please) we will all be lost again.
