I downloaded ios8 and want to delete ibooks and health apps.

How do I delete apps such as ibooks that came with ios8? There is no "x" using the usual method. Thanks.

You can't, in iOS 8 they are built-in apps - you can try leaving feedback for Apple : http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

This is really stupid on Apple's part

I manage hundreds of iPads at a private school and sometimes the only way to fix an issue with a book not working in iBooks is to delete the app and then re install it. Now I am screwed

Apple is a horrible company to deal with as far as enterprise and business solutions - awful management and support at a premium price. Unfortunately I have no control over what the school decides to buy, so I am the one who gets put through a meat grinder by Apple.

Essentially they're selling you a phone that they know will not have as much storage as they advertise. For example a 6 gig phone that uses 4 gig for os is actually 2 gig storage which is false advertising in my books! It is annoying because i too deleted certain apps to install the upgrade only for apple to then use that space for their own apps that are non deletable! Is there any way of downgrading the phones OS?
