Green dot issue with iPhone 6 plus when taking video/picture

I woke up this morning to take a picture of the beautiful sunrise and to my surprise I noticed a green dot appearing on my screen. I cleaned my lens and still happening. I tried using the video and still the same. It only happens when the sun is in the background. This is annoying because I like to take pictures of the the sunrise or sunset. Anyone having the same issue on their iPhone 6 plus?

Lads I have done some seemingly conclusive research and it appears that the dot comes from the "potency" of the suns rays bouncing between the sensor and the glass. Apparently dslr cameras can experience the same problem. Long exposure to the bright sunlight can damage the sensor and this leads to that and the camera experiences a blue/green dot. It is almost unavoidable with non-manual shutters

I am also having the same issue with my iPhone 6s. It spoiled many of my vacation photos.

I have get it checked at Apple Service Centre as well but no luck.

And as I can see from other replies that, the issue exists in the 6th Generation generation iPhone Camera kits. Though it's know, Apple did not care to fix the same in 6s as well. So it seems Apple is least concerned about this issue. And we may expect the same being populated in iPhone 7 so on.

I am a big fan of Apple products. I own 3 iPhones, 1 Macbook Air and 1 Macbook Pro w/ Retina. And I have really big expectations with the Apple products. When someone buys Apple products they feel to have a premium product and of course expect a premium quality experience and output as well. Now a days mobile photography is as important as telephone for any mobile phone. So having such issues in Apple products is really disappointing.

My iPhone 7 has same issue. Opened up case with Apple and finally after 20 days of relentless follow up they said it's working as expected. So I am disappointed with iPhone 7 camera. My question to Apple customer care, would you accept photos with green dot in your wedding album. Their answer was obvious "No". So this product is not working as expected.
