If your having issues with the bluetooth I suggest doing what Speed1967 said....fill out this form (in addition to calling Apple's Tech support and opening a case)
More press about this issue

Bottom line is that although Apple may not monitor these forums, apparently someone does. The press has really locked in on this issue.
I actually deleted the phone from my car....deleted the car from my iphone. Reinstalled everything. I also went to setting>general>handoff & suggested apps and turned the Handoff off. Today my bluetooth worked fine. Not sure if it is the handoff or the reinstall. I will turn the handoff back on and try it and see if it works.
I won't go into detail about my Bluetooth woes except to note some particulars. I'm using 8.0.2 on a basic 16GB iPhone 6. My car is a 2012 Subaru Outback. I can manually connect (pair) to the car, but I have to do this each and every time I start the engine...which is silly. My old phone would instantly be 'recognized' by the car every time I started the engine. No need to go through the pairing rigmarole.
I also notice what others do: Bluetooth connected devices that are 'greyed out.' For example, my iPad Air and iPod Touch would both be listed as 'greyed-out' devices on my phone that I only got rid of by resetting everything. Things like headphones and my Braven speaker were easily 'forgotten' if I wished to, but the Apple iOS devices all seemed to want to stay 'paired' no matter what I did. And practically speaking, WHY would someone want to connect via Bluetooth an iPod Touch to an iPhone 6 anyway? Or an iPad Air to an iPhone 6?
I don't know when 8.1 (the supposed 'fix' for all this nonsense) is coming out. But with all the press about this one issue, it ought to be fast.
Same issue, on iPhone 5c and Nissan Note Hands Free system, before this update, everything was ok, I didn´t try 8.0.1, I went straight to 8.0.2, I also have a bluetooth hands free speaker, the audio is fine, but the controls on the speaker are no longer functioning, I hope they fix this soon.
Sure wish I had visited this site earlier....Not an early adopter, I did the 8.0.2 upgrade a couple of days ago for my 4S only to find the problems you are describing. I have a lexus and now I can't be hands free. It took me a long time to get to purchasing apple products and I couldn't be more disappointed. Hey when I called the support number someone told me my account had suspicious activity and that looked like the problem. Are you kidding???? I also thought that this might be a ploy to get those 4S users to upgrade...but by your comments, my conspiracy theory was clearly wrong.
Come on Apple...you have the expertise and the person power to fix this thing...GET TO IT!!!!
Same problem with Audi but I solve it. I installed 8.1 beta 2 yesterday and it's running like a charm. Far more better than 8.0.2 and it's a beta version!!! Don't loose your time with Apple support and some "fuzzy recipe" like reset network setting and bluetooth and blablabla. I tried all of that and it's time consuming for nothing. They tell their "basic" support people some kind of recipe for customer who don't have the knowledge to dig into their iPhone. Go to iTunes and restore the last IOS before you upgrade, if you can, if not, forget it and wait for 8.1 . Sorry !
I agree the recommendation to reset all setting is not a true fix. It only fixed the problem for one day in my '14 Mazda. I switched from android for this? I did hear news today that ios 8.0.3 is arriving soon and that a bluetooth fix is one of the bug fixes. I had android phones for 5 years and although I really like my iPhone 6 this simple feature in my car should be a gimme. They need to fix it or I'll go back to android and never look back.
I just bought my wife a Bluetooth speaker (photive cyren). She likes to listen to concerts on YouTube on our iPad air. When connected to the speaker, YouTube always crashes. When not connected, it works fine. After it crashes, it's necessary to reboot the iPad for YouTube to work again. iOS 8.0.2.
Same - I just updated to 8.0.2, two nights ago, and now I can no longer connect my iPhone to play music through my USB in my car. When I try, I get an error on my screen that reads 'iPod Error'. I have a '15 Mazda CX-5. I pressed the 'Bluetooth' button and it proceeded to play my music through there (didn't try an actual phone call), but I don't have access to the same features as when it's connected through the USB, so I thought I would restore my factory settings (in my car) to see if I could get the 'iPod' feature working...no go...it actually made it worse because now I can't connect to the Bluetooth or music through my phone...***? I emailed my local Mazda dealer to see if they could help, but I realize now this is a widespread problem and I will have to wait for the next update to hopefully get it fixed. This could very well be the last iPhone I own. Good thing my contract term expires next month 🙂
I have a 2012 Chevy Volt and bluetooth worked great prior to upgrading to 8.0.2. Now Siri inserts the characters "'s" in front of everything I say to her, which makes hands-free texting impossible. Apple, please help fix this!
Thanks for the link to the form. Here is the story I shared with them...
" iPhone with iOS 8.0.2 issue with Bluetooth connected devices, controlling the phone. Initially experienced issue with Uconnect on 2012 Challenger not placing voice initiated outbound calls. Seems the vehicle cannot control the phone - phone never attempts to place the call - no "handover" occurring like before the upgrade to iOS 8.0.2. In my attempt to diagnose the source of the problem I tested with daughters iPhone on iOS 7.1.2 and the Uconnect system performs as normal for outbound calls. Confirmed the same no control situation with Bluetooth enabled docking/speaker iLive device. The iOS 8.0.2 phone cannot be controlled from the Bluetooth devices buttons: forward, reverse, pause, play, etc. tested same with daughters iPhone and this iPad, all controls work as designed on these devices"
Held out until today to update from 7 to 8.0.2
Airdrop won't work on version 8.0.2 on 2 phones (iPhone 5 and 5S).
Either between the two or transfer to the laptop etc.
Restarts etc don't seem to do the trick...Ohh the horror!
I have a BMW and same problem. Bluetooth connects phone to hands free speakers then two seconds later kicks me out of Bluetooth. I backed up my phone, erased everything including all settings and the restored. Did not fix the problem. Boy Apple is going down hill. I will be looking to make a change. Can't accept back to back IOS update failures.
Update to 8.1 and solve your problem. This update end this post!
