Maybe updating to iOS 8.1 will fix it.
You guys are a joke. Read the forums. M8.1 doesn't fix the problem

FYI: After updating to 8.1, our YouTube-on-iPad-Air-crashing-when-connecting-to-bluetooth-speaker problem DID get fixed. With 8.0.2, it failed every time. With 8.1, it works perfectly. (And I don't think the youtube app itself updated in the meanwhile. OS change was the only change.) So 8.1 might not solve all bluetooth problems, but it does solve some.
Joke yourself! No problem with bluetooth at all on speaker, car, etc. I tested 8.1 beta 2 myself and the problems was not there with this beta. IPhone 6, 4s, iPad 2, Air and mini... Is it enough? Maybe a clean install on some unit solve the problem? Godd luck.
Sorry, thought you were Apple Support. Other reviews by Tech Magazines said 8.1 only seems to be fixing 2015 cars. And...it's causing new issues. Just frustrated with Apple. Going to probably switch to a different phone this weekend.
I'm frustrated too...although at least now I can use my Bluetooth (that iOS 8.0.2 screwed up) after updating to 8.1, I still can't play music through my usb in my '15 Mazda. They both worked perfectly right up until I updated my phone. Transferred my music to a USB stick and it works just fine. I'd still prefer to connect my phone to the USB so I can charge it at the same time, but I guess I'll take what I can get at this point...this will probably be my last iPhone unless something changes fast!
The 8.1 update allows me to connect to my Subaru Outback (2012) more successfully than I could before, but I still have to 'pair' them each and every time I start the car. It doesn't automatically 'remember' the device (like, say, my home wifi does, and like my car did with my older phone). I have the basic iPhone 6.
Updated to 8.1 STILL NOT FIXED, I can now answer calls with steering wheel buttons but CAN NOT make calls on blue tooth in car.
When I try to override by selecting in car blue tooth nohthing happens, 1 in 6 say, outgoing calls will redirect to Bluetooth.
I don't understand, it was a system in IOS 7 that worked perfectly IF IT AINT BROKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FInally found solution. I was having same problem. Unpair bluetooth device from iPad. Next, you need to do a factory reset of your Bose Soundlink Mini to clear pairings settings. Press and hold mute button on the Bose Speaker for about 10 seconds. The LED's will flash briefly. Press power to turn back on and try again. Problem solved.
TThanks so much cmd8602 this finally solved my issue with the Bose Soundlink Mini
For problems with BOSE and IOS 8.0 and higher, you will need to download updated firmware from BOSE. http://worldwide.bose.com/downloads/en/web/bose_bluetooth_speaker_overview/page. html Follow the instructions (PC or MAC) for both download and installation of firmware. Once updated, FORGET THIS DEVICE on the IOS device, then re-discover and pair each of your devices. Everything should work fine.
Easy fix. Rename your iPhone so that the word "iPhone" is not part of the name.
Hondalink will immediately recognize the device. Just spoke with Honda customer service and this is what they suggested. It worked right away.
Im using Iphone 5, IOS8.1.1,when I pair to Boston acoustic Soundware Digital Cinema ,plays music for maybe a second then cuts off. Worked fine before update.Tried network rest,no luck. Spoke with Boston Acoustic, they said numerous reports of this but SUPRISE its an Apple issue.
