Anyones health kit app stop working?

I went to bed last night and everything was tracking fine between my Healthkit app and myfitnesspal app. I had 5 or 6 things pinned to my dashboard. I woke up and it is all gone.. Nothing is pinned to my dashboard and when I swipe to put it on my dashboard and press back it still isn't there and I go back in and it is switched off. I click on the Show all data and it does the spiny thinking icon forever and won't populate. But my steps I think are still being calculated in myfitnesspal. I have killed all open apps, soft restart, hard restart and nothing has fixed it. I have the iPhone 6 64gb ATT with the os and all apps updated.

iPhone 6, iOS 8

I need to add my 2 cents. HealthKit has serious programming issues. Hopefully they sort these out before they release iWatch in 2015. Otherwise the failure of this app and its overall suckiness will be a big news story and may impact the launch of the watch.

Apple and its developers should look to Withings Health Mate for guidance on how to do a health app right. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/health-mate-steps-tracker/id542701020?mt=8

I don't believe Apple is trying to replace or replicate apps like HealthMate. It's trying to create a platform where app, such as HealthMate can sync information to other apps and to create a space where information can be aggregated and then used. HealthMate is great. It's the app I use to get my heart rate and weight data into Health and from there, sync it to other apps, for example, Lark.

No, HealthMate doesn't aggregate data from multiple apps. It collects a variety of data itself. Health doesn't actually collect much data of its own. It aggregates data from an increasingly large number of third party apps.

I tried this, but it did not work.

I tried again, this time I did a DFU reset, & then restored the phone - same problem. I suspect the back up image may have something to do with health app not capturing any data at all.

I also tried reset of the settings, which I do not recommend, because you need to re-enter wifi passwords, VPN settings etc etc, & that did not work either.

This is bothering me a lot. The HealthKit is NOT working AT ALL and it was one of the main features of the IOS8 on iPhone.

Is there any other way to influence on the matter?

Is there any developement on Apples behalf??

I was under the impression that Health is the platform to collect the data from other apps and present it to the user. Somehow it seems that usage and export/import the data of other apps is the thing that makes HealthKit crash or freeze...

I need some answers , please?!

I was struggling with this for along time too. The long version is: I deleted all apps that were connected to Health kit, then I deleted all settings in Health (as far as that is possible at all). Then Force quit Health. Then made a full back up of my iPhone on a MacBook (not on iCloud). Then I put back the backup on the iPhone.

I suppose in that way the settings file of Health was replaced with a workable one. Then opened Health again and saw that I could put in my weight and birth date in "Me" . After that I have installed again, one by one, the apps that are working with Health Kit.
