Ipad Air random reboot on ios 8.0.2

I purchased a brand new Ipad Air, and upgraded it to ios 8.0.2. Since then, I am facing random reboots, after seeing a blue screen for a split second. I took it to the service centre, where they clearly said that it is an OS issue. When is the patch for this coming up. Is it really an OS issue?

I had the rebooting problem with my iPad Mini retina with iOS 8.0.2, but updates have solved the problem (I am now on iOS 8.1.2). For those who still have the rebooting issue, you may want to try to do a complete back-up and restore from back-up using the iTunes app on your PC/Mac.

It may be that there was corrupted code in your iOS 8.0.2 version, and updating over-the-air might have left the corrupted code on your device. Doing a complete back-up and restore might re-install iOS 8.1.2 entirely from scratch without the corrupted code.

Is it a hardware bug (new battery, new display, ...) or is it a software bug?

I have currently the following suspects:

- Battery (replacement part from Apple in use)

- Display (replacement part from Apple in use)

- Flash storage (free disk space very low (< 1 GB left))

- iOS

The ResetCounter-Log created after reboot of the iDevice has "bug_type" = 115).

What do you think?

Same problem for me after updating my 4th generation iPad from iOS 7.1.1 to iOS 9.3.1. First tried updating with the iPad (General --> Software Update), when the update failed got stuck in this continuous restart state. I managed to backup and update the iPad with iTunes in the few minutes that the iPad would stay on. Even after successfully updating it's still restarting! Ah. Will continue trying to restore tomorrow. Hard to do anything, I only have about 3 minutes from the time it turns on to the time it turns back off. Restore keeps failing. This has been a bad experience. It's not even my iPad.

Was finally able to update my 3rd gen iPad (it's not 4th like I said previously) to iOS 9.3.1 using iTunes. But after that I had 2 problems, I couldn't activate the iPad one, and two it was still rebooting. The activation problem is confusing because it was a known iOS 9.3.1 issue that was supposed to have been resolved, but wasn't for me. I don't know about the reboot problem. Makes me think I got a bad update or partially through he update, and it bricked my device. Still had these problems after doing a full restore in Recovery Mode with iTunes. Went to Apple Store and they told me it was probably a logic board problem and the best they could do was offer the same model iPad for $300... I can buy a new 16 GB refurbished iPad Air for $340 so I said no. I'm skeptical it's really a hardware problem because it was working fine before the update. I'm going to wait for the iOS 9.3.2 update which will probably be out in a few weeks, before I dish out $340 for a new iPad, maybe I'll get lucky.
