IOS 8.0.2 wifi issues

Exactly. Thanks for the possible temporary workaround. But we shouldn't have to reconfigure our networks just to accomodate a faulty product. This is basic functionality.

I have an iPhone 5s and my Wi-Fi has been messed up since the last two updates. My connection speed moves really slow, and most of the time it doesn't work. I have to disconnect from the network and reconnect to it just for it to work again, and that only lasts for a short while, then it returns to being super slow or not wot working. They really messed up with the update to 8. The "fix" to 8.0.1 didn't solve anything for me.

Anyone know if they are working on an update to fix the latest fix?

Same problem. wifi dissapears and comes back! Also my 3G appears but doesn't transfers information to the phone.

I agree completely. Appie has always been only a mediocre performer in this area. Even though I'm fine at home, there are now networks which I can no longer access outside and I'm most aggrevated. What's inexcusable is this same issue existed with the upgrade to 7. Go back to Jan 2014 discussions and you'll see this same exact issue. Pretty sad excuse for a company if you ask me.

Can connect to Wi-Fi, 3G is there, but after a few minutes after a reboot no data flows over both Wi-Fi and 3G.

The phone is totally useless now. Restoring as a new phone does not help at all. And reseting network setting does not help too.

Yeah, it seems like the update damaged phones beyond repair. I don't think any update can fix this (I hope I am wrong). I told family members and friends not to install the latest update because there is a chance that it will wreck your phone.

I just wish I could go back in time and stop myself from updating to 8.0.1.

Updated my iPad Air to 8.0.2 and now its slow over wifi, connection drops consistently... Never had any issue before and now the update has just rendered my iPAD useless...

I wonder APPLE had so high quality standards and what has happened to them... It seems software updates were just released in haste, without proper testing, quality assurance... Fixing one minor bug is resulting in blocker/critical bugs... Just think how can someone pass this software update with this blocker bug ???

iphone 5S and iPad Air Both have wifi connection issues since the 8.0.2 update. Tried resetting network settings nothing helps. Frustrating is the nicest word I can come up with. Will be sent my new iPhone end of nov. Come on Apple you are really letting me down.

LLatest Wilton of the 8.0.2 wifi troll, iPhone 5 is working fine however iPad Air is affected and can't refresh apps let alone load a page through safari. Come on Apple, fix this!

I'm wondering if someone from Apple read all the complains and if they give a **** about us. Not only this IOS destroyed my phone , the same issue like all of you I have on my ipad, and since yesterday, I cannot even charge it ! I'm tired sick of them.........

I am such an idiot to leave my HTC one M8. The phone was perfect. Just wanted something smaller and got the 5s.

Same problems with brand new 5s. Wi-Fi just does whatever it wants.

I have the same issues..... incredibly slow, intermittent dropouts. Was fine before loading 8.0, then problems started. Tried 8.0.2, no change - still wifi issues.

Hi, I'm having the same issue on iphone 5. Frequent drops from my home wifi network and very very slow internet connection. Can't even open Clash of clans. I tried other mobile devices and wifi connection is working perfectly fine. Anyone tried to do factory reset? I'm a bit hesitant as I will be losing all my files. This update was crap and it made my phone useless. Apple needs to get a fix soon.

I did a back up to everything and after I did factory reset. Guess what? Doesn't work.......
