Defective Iphone 6 screens?

Can anyone tell me if there is a defect in Iphone 6 screens?

I have had this phone all of 4 days and it is broken! It did not survive a 2 foot impact from a 32g spice bottle. I do not understand how there are videos showing the screen surviving hammers, waist and head high drops! I feel so deceived thinking this product was going to be better than the 4S that I upgraded from. (long story but the 4S survived 2 years without a scratch to the screen.. dropped numerous times) I checked the apple services and they want me to charge me 297 euros (we are in France) to mail-in a repair.

As for Steve, probably somone remembers, that most of his personal iPhones spent a lot of time in his jeans. Even the reason that iPhones had glass screens from the very beginning was that prototype with plastic screen Steve carried in his jeans was spoiled and he decided to make a glass screen. So durability was always one of advantages. No it's something wrong with Apple. iPhone 6 is very thin, (6+ is even more terrible) easy breakable device, to big to operate easily with one hand and looks like Samsung... So next step is to install Android there and it will be done...

Yeah, if it were such a no-no to put them in back pocket, how come they let all Apple-store workers do so?

I have a friend who works at the Apple Store. He told me they are often reminded to NOT put their phones in their back pockets, but people do what people do. And when someone sits on their phone and the screen cracks, they have only themselves to blame.

Would Steve Jobs have allowed the iPhone 6 to be build in this pathetic Quality?
for me It did not survive a 4 foot falling impact

I checked the apple services and they want me to charge me 400 $ to replace it with a new one....

In fact after 4S I have to be very careful with 6. Returning to a pocket topic. 6 is too big to place it in front jeans pocket also. If you will try to sit down more likely phone will e damaged. It not only iPhone 6 issue, but it matters. What is the option then? To walk like an idiot all day long with the phone in your hand? I would really like to have 3.5 - 4 inch display and more thick device itself. Less beautiful, but more durable with much longer battery life. I like iPhone 6 in general and Apple product environment is still the best on the market, but this screen issues and near no durability at all....

I was sat on the sofa watching the TV, stood up and iphone 6 screen had shattered out from near a corner. I have had every iPhone since the 2 and none has ever done that before. Can only be poor quality glass or a design fault. It is simply not fit for purpose.

Took it into the Apple Store and the genius and basically agreed with me but said they had been firmly told no warranty claims for screens and I would have to pay to have the screen replaced. Looks like this will be the last Apple phone I will ever buy,

I've dropped my iPhone 6 on solid ground from about 5 feet. No damage whatsoever.

What kind/brand of protective case were you using on your iPhone 6?

I am also wondering about that !

You can wonder, but I can tell you the other iP6 in our house has been dropped from a distance of at least 3 feet, directly on concrete and survived all three drops. It's in a protective case, but not something as strong as an Otter Box. It's just a hard candy shell case. And the phone fell face first on the concrete each time.

IIt's funny to read about suggestions like: don't put your iPhone in rear jeans pocket. My wife always forget to take her smartphone out of it. It has 3.5 inch display of glass and it's not iPhone. So she sit on it handreds of times for the last 2 years. No single problem...

Which phone is that ? 😎

Although I never put in rear, anyway

Oooops! I have the same problem, it just happened to my 2 week old iphone 6 and the cracks get more day by day! I am so disappointed of such failure, I went for warranty but they didn't help me at all, they say it's not under warranty. What a pitty they advertise their products in an awsome way but by this shocking fault , they make no action. I will inform all my friends not go after iphone 6 anymore. Iphone 6 is a total failure 😟
