The new iOS 8 update CONSTANTLY FREEZES AND CRASHES MY iPad 2. What do I do about this?

Why won't Apple let me remove the update when it makes my iPad nearly useless? I do not understand this at all.

Try this fix, it worked for me.

In Settings > General > Side Switch make sure you select Lock Rotation and lock the screen rotation on the side of your device. I'm guessing that the new OS isn't compatible with the internal gyroscope on "older" devices thus it crashes. Hope this works for you guys!
