iPhone 6 Plus headache and migraine

Been buying new iPhones every year since they have been released.. Received my new iPhone 6 plus last Friday the 19th on launch date and was super excited!

After owning the phone for a day, I started to notice that I have a really bad headache. Been using it for 12 days now and the headache has not gone away... The only difference that I can tell from this phone and my previous 5s is that this thing has NFC built into it with NO option to turn it off. I believe this is what is causing my headaches. I really love this phone but I'm obviously not going to jeopardize my health for screen size unless Apple adds a kill switch to this antenna.

A little background - I am very sensitive to Bluetooth. Any time I am around or using it, I get these headaches exactly what I am describing here. First thing I always do when I get my phones is shut off Bluetooth and everything has always been ok.

Has anyone else experienced a similar health concern?

I've gone through the thread quickly. Surprisingly, seems it's mostly women who are affected.

Are there things that women can see or feel that men can't ?

Migraines can be profundly affected by fluctuations in hormones, something women tend to have more of than men. Which, of course, has nothing to do with cell phones. However, you have no real way of knowing the genders of people on this thread. You can make some guesses but, it is quite possilbe that people a) have user names that do not conform to standard gender usage or b) they share a user name with someone of a different gender.

That's the problem, you do have a point.

Men can only listen to what they want to see, while women tend to feel things men don't want to hear about. That's why having a conversation with your husband during the Super Bowl is usually ineffective.

With this approach, it's possible to eliminate men in the thread. What remains are women, or third genders.

Sexist generalization.

Are you intentionally or accidentally trolling?

There's nothing judgemental in what I said, no reasons to be so defensive. It's not like TJBUSMC1973 who made a fool of mk3928, while mk3928 had a very valid point.

I'm not being defensive, merely making an observation about a rather absurd statement. And, far from making a valid point, mk3928 showed a woeful (but sadly common) lack of understanind of basic science.

I'm going to agree with the Marines on this. You're trolling and I'm done.

Have a nice day.

Well, I guess that's your problem. I didn't know that 41k points answering questions on iPod could make you an expert on radio waves. But apparently that's well enough to talk down on people. Keep manning your fort, seems you're getting a lot of satisfaction at it.

GSM/3G radio signal is centred around water main absorption band, together with Nitrogen chiral molecules, which are the building block of proteins. It's basic chemistry that if you submit a protein to a radio signal, the chirality of its active sites changes, making it unable to interact with protein receptors - because they are chiral too - That's why cooking meat in a microwave is not recommended, it doesn't become poisonous, but more difficult to digest.

Having said that, it's been proven that if you submit cells at an early stage of their division/replication, you create defects. Cells are proteins stored in a bag. Try search "eggs mortality radio signal" on google, see what that brings.

Anyway, that's why young men are advised not carry their cell phones in their front pockets. Nothing to do with eggs, but everything to do with production of gametes.

Now KiltedTim, I can't believe you are from Ohio. Are you sure you're not a failed transplant from NYC, upper west side ? Seems you know everything on anything with nothing to show for.

No hard feelings though. Cheers.

I am having the same problem with my iphone 6 plus. Have used it for one week + and experienced headaches almost everyday . I put the phone really far away from me now. Even feel the zapping on my neck when i just hold it.

Are you a doctor? If ou are not, go see one. You do not know why you are getting headaches. You have made an asumption that it is your phone. Constant headaches can be a sign of a serioius medical problem.

It is not possible feel the "radiation" from your phone "zapping" you.

I am not a doctor. I am just sharing what I have felt with users who might have the same experience.

Meg St._Clair, are you working for apple? If not, you are probably just another apple diehard fan. Don't need to be so defensive.

I don't have issue after switching to another phone. So I am pretty darn sure headaches and discomfort I've felt was radiating from my iphone 6 plus.

It's just like someone who can see ghost and some who can't. Simple theory.

>>Nitrogen chiral molecules

yeah. One word was missing, but you're not exactly inclined to add it. Such bad faith. Let me help you.

1) Nitrogen & chocolate-rich chiral molecules 2) Nitrogen-*** chiral molecules 3) Nitrogen-isn't-chiral-gotcha!-I-won 4) aminoacid (chiral) molecules.

@destiney8 : try to switch off bluetooth, and disable wifi auto-join. Wifi is essentially passive when not connected, so it won't raise its signal power trying to join a network if you are near a public wifi hotspot. Disable also parallax effects on the iPhone, it's known to cause nausea to sensitive people.

Note: Amazing. Apple filters *** out, so any time I write *** it appears with * like this ***.
