I just updated my second gen iPod Nano 2gb to iTunes 7. Its telling me a newer version of the software (1.2) is available. When I first tried to update I got an error message telling me the firmware file was corrupt. I followed the instructions on what to do if the file is corrupt and removed the file in the iPod software updates folder that started with ipod and ended with .ipsw.signature. Now when I try to update it tells me the firmware file could not be found although Ipod diagnostics sez its fine (ver. 1.1.1). I can't resore it either b/c of same message. Any idea of how I can fix this issue?
So this problem hasn't been fixed, how are we supposed to get the latest version if this 'cannot find firmware file' keeps happening, should we just wait til a newer version comes out?
