iPad 2 keeps crashing rebooting after ios 8 update

Since updating my iPad 2 to ios 8 I have had numerous problems with it, first thing that happened was the accesscibility features came on and would'nt turn off, had to attach to my mac and disable them in itunes, also while this was occuring the ipad 2 kept randomly rebooting, this is still occuring, I have so far done a soft reset and a hard reset, I've done a restore, I've updated to ios 8.2 and still the same things happening, this is starting to get very annoying.

iPad 2 was working fine until this update . . please can anyone assist . . .

Since I can get no support, replies or solutions from Apple Corp. through standard venues (i.e. "feedback"), I'm going to start writing to Tim Cook directly. Everyday. Five times per day. I don't yet know a proper address, but he has a Twitter account. What if everyday.....nay; five times per day, he got 10,000 complaints from us about his operating system? Do you think he might start looking into the problem? Let's all start now:

Hi New Software Update out now ios 8.1.1 this helps to fix problems for older iPhones/ iPads Give it a try. Why is it some people like me NEVER HAVE PROBLEMS. I have to top of Range Router Netgear 6300 sometimes the Router that your I S P gives you is only a basic one. Not all problems are your Apple Devices. We have 2 iPhones & 3 iPads no problems. Every 2 Months or if I think my devices or slowing down. I restore back to Factory Settings. Cheers Brian

I now have a f***in PAPERWEIGHT!! iPad2 Wi-Fi 32GB dead. Tried every possible solution and got nothing. Now it will not turn on at all, will not enter DFU, nor will it even show battery when plugged into the mains. When plugged into Mac it is recognised by iTunes at least but when I click for restore it hangs everytime on ' Waiting for iPad '

So angry at this iOS8. It could not have ran any better before this update.

I have Mac, MacBook Pro, iPhone 5 & 5S in my household, totally turned my back on Microsoft - Seems now for what.

Exactly what I have too.

When the restarting got too much with ios 8.1 I left it on standby for a day or two and it stabilised, not perfect but usable. The 8.1.1 install was horrific, crashed mid install, wouldn't turn on after, in and out with recognition from itunes so I tried to put in into standby again.

Bloody thing is doing cpr on itself, I walked into the dark room and the apple logo was glowing in the corner, it's just trying to turn itself on... I shall have to call him Hal.

I'm just waiting for the constant self inflicted cpr to waste the battery so Hal can sleep and hopefully regain some stability again.

Vince, I did the IOS 8 update and my Ipad wouldn't switch on; I plugged it in to my computer and it did the recovery thing that resets to factory settings. Now I am just getting the on/off flashing apple sign.

I have read loads of comments about what has been suggested but some are quite high tech! Do you have any suggestions what I could try please? (With simple directions!)

Thank you, JoseyJo69

iPad 3s are all having this issue too. Not just iPad 2s. Of course Apple knows about it. If they wanted things to work correctly, they'd fix it with an update or allow users to downgrade to iOS 7. So, the only 2 possible answers are that Apple doesn't know how to fix the problem or it's forced obsolesence.

UPDATE: After installing the 8.1.1 update released on Nov 18th, I am happy to say that my iPad 3 no longer seems to be randomly rebooting. I have been using the iPad all day without any limiting events. So, in my case, the 8.1.1 update has restored my iPad 3 to being a useful tool once again. I do, however, feel that it took Apple too long to get this fix out .. especially since such a large number of users were having severe issues with iPad 2s and 3s after iOS 8.
