You may be right Apple may well not be dragging their feet, but at the end of the day they should have done a bit more extensive testing on the iOS before releasing it, that way they might have noticed these issues before the poor end users (us) were left with iPad's/iphone's etc that are now nothing more than very expensive paperweights.
I will tell you were I know they are definitely dragging their feet ;
Admitting that they are at fault !
Keeping their customers who have complained up to date and in the loop for two !
And Keeping their customers waiting until another update comes out in the vain hope that this resolved the issues . . .
Its now 2 months since Apple released iOS8, there's been 4 updates and still people are having issue's and the only response I've had off Apple so far has been ;
An Apple Genius in store telling me "Its a hardware fault" and all he did was do everything I'd already done, didn't run any diagnositcs, didn't take and review any of the crash/stack logs, just told me it was broken and I could buy a new one.
An Apple Senior Technical Specialist ring me to take crash/istack logs for review (this was only after I'd sent an email to Mark Rogers Apple's UK Managing Director, no one else seemed interested and wanted ownership/responsibility)
The same Senior Technical Specialist not getting back to me with any information and me having to contact them on the day the latest update was released to find out whether they had been able to ascertain what the problem was i.e "Was it a hardware fault ? or was it the iOS?". The Senior Technical Specialist just responded with "As you may know, the iOS 8.1.1 is available and this update should resolve your issue." however as I'm still writing on this post, you'll guess it hasn't resolved my issue.
I've contacted both the EMIA Rep and the Senior Technical Specialist asking again what the initial Crash/Stack Logs show and to provide me with a solution instead of just stringing me along till the next update in the vain hope that this will fix the issue.
This Apple has left a very bitter taste in my mouth
