Jaybird Bluebuds Disconnecting

Anyone else having problems with Jaybird bluebirds?

I am having a problem maintaining a connection between my Bluebuds and an iPhone 6 plus running 8.0.2. It works fine for a few minutes but then the buds disconnect and I have to press the select button for reconnection. I don't seem to have the problem with an iPad Air running 8.02. I've tried forgetting the device and repairing, and resetting all settings.

Bluebirds + iPhone 6 (8.1.3) + Pebble (2.9) + Pebble App (2.6.4)

Same issues -- disconnects when there are more than 1 BT devices connected. I have deleted Tiles and Chipolo and disabled Smartwatch Proximity on Pebble - will see what happens.

BTW, I use RunKeeper with Pebble and this combination makes the disconnects more frequent to the point that it becomes so overly annoying. With the setup above, I will see if the disconnect disappears completely.

I have the same problem with my iPhone 6 and Bluebuds. I'm able to connect them to my iPad Retina along with 3 other bluetooth devices at the same time and I have no dropping of the connection. Both devices are on the latest iOS (8.2).

I notice when the Bluebuds connection drops the bluetooth icon blinks and the bluetooth battery icon temporarily disappears on the iPhone 6. I would suggest this issue is definitely with the iPhone 6.

I'm having the exact same symptoms. iPhone 6, iOS 8.2, Pebble 2.9.1, Tile, and Bluebuds. The Tile is by far the worst culprit, as it even disconnects the Bluetooth to My Ford Touch in my truck. That being removed from the equation, I still get fairly constant disconnects with the Bluebuds to the point of being so annoying I sometimes return to wired headphones. I also did not have this issue at all with my iPhone 5.

Same issue - seemed to get worse with 8.2

iphone 6

I use tile and pebble.

First step today was to turn off Smartwatch Proximity on pebble (done on phone in Pebble app). Seems to have corrected it, but it is early.

I was a 5 year android user and had many bluetooth problems (with Jaybird, my car, etc). Fitbit was usually the culprit on it. I was really hoping BT issues would be something I left behind when I switched to iphone. I am still very happy I switched, but **** . . . feel like BT issues are going to be a way of life forever.

Same issue for me with iPhone 6 with iOS 8.1.3, Pebble 2.9.1 and Mercedes Audio20 bluetooth car audio.

I have to check if the same happens with Jabra Street bluetooth hearphones I use for jogging, but I'm afraid I already know the answer.

Despite the fact it exists since many years, BT standard doesn't seem to be so stable and reliable.

Something terrible has happened since I installed iOS8.3. I used to have trouble with the Pebble/iPhone 6 Plus/BlueBuds combo, but I ditched the Pebble and things got better. After I installed iOS8.3 today, I'm having major issues with my BlueBuds. After a brief period of time, they not only disconnect, but shut off entirely. Sometimes they won't turn back on without being plugged in again.

While this sounds more like an issue with the BlueBuds than with iOS, this just started today after I installed iOS8.3. That'd be a pretty crazy coincidence.

I am genuinely pretty bummed. I had pretty much given up on my bluebuds since, although they're my favorite headphones, I'd rather use something else than give up my pebble. I had high hopes that today with the ios 8.3 update specifically addressing the "issue where audio playback could stop working with some bluetooth speakers," I would finally be able to maintain a connection with these admittedly pretty awesome ear buds. Quick update, it's definitely not. I'm not going to bother going through the tests I've gone through in the past which helped me narrow the problem down to the fact that the buds don't play well with the pebble. I don't have any problems with any other devices disconnecting, it's actually gotten super frustrating. Initially when I first experienced the problem, I had the buds replaced as well as my iPhone 6. Forget it. I'm just a bit miffed that this update specifically addressed the biggest issue I've been having with getting my devices to work as intended and it just didn't, instead.

Hi, I had the same issue with Jaybird disconnecting all the time, here is what I did recently and is allowing me to use the headphones with out interruption.

I Use: - iPhone 6 with IOS 8.3, - Jaybird BlueBuds X, -Polar H7 bluetooth heart monitor, -Echo by Magellan, - ISmoothrun and RunKeeper simultaneously.

I started by disconnecting/erasing all Bluetooth devices from the iPhone. Then I used this order to reconnect them:

JayBird

Polar H7 in both apps

Echo in ISmoothrun only.

When I go out to my daily run I open/connect the devices in the same order.

Turn on Jaybird

Open music app (I use tunein radio)

Strap my Polar H7 and open both apps – verify that is connect in both apps

Connect Echo with ISmoothrun only

Open RunKeeper

Start apps to monitor my run.

Only by using this order is how I been able to run without disconnection of the Jaybird headphones.

I hope this can help some of you.

Hello, I just bought my Bluebuds X and received it last night. Had same issues where the connection would be lost and i have to manually re-connect the phone to the Blueduds. I currently own an iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 8.3 and also wear Pebble Steel. The way I eliminated this issue was to turn off the Smartwatch Proximity setting on the Pebble App on the iPhone. Once it was OFF, the issue disappeared. Thanks to all those that made this suggestion. It worked for me. Now I can enjoy all three devices again. BTW, Bluebuds X are awesome with Comply Premium Earphone tips (highly recommend them with the Bluebuds). Enjoy !!!!

I've been having this issue since I got my iPhone 6 Plus through all iOS versions. Never any issues on an iPhone 5 previously with the same setup. I used a pebble, tile and bluebuds x and now have replaced the pebble with an Apple Watch and it's even worse. On a short 1 mile run yesterday they dropped out 6-8 times and I kept having to press the center button on the bluebuds line to reconnect.
