iPhone 6 Plus Verizon shipping/delivery

Has anybody that ordered their iPhone 6 Plus through Verizon actually gotten their phone yet? or even got a shipping confirmation email and tracking number? i pre ordered my 6 Plus 64gb Space grey on 9/17 and have a ship date of 10/31, my status on verizon still says order is in process.

Unfortunately I agree with you! Apparently the problem is primarily with the iPhone6+ and those with the 64G and 128G memory. Apple marketeers underestimated the popularity of the 6+ and thought that the size would encourage the IPhone 6 to be the phone of choice. Obviously they stock their own shelves first but it appears that orders placed directly with Apple and those with carriers have about the same delivery dates. If you are fortunate enough to have an Apple store nearby and they have your phone in stock you can cancel your order and buy it at the store but of course most shipments seem to be scheduled 10/29 or before with some falling into 11/4 or before.


I am no worse off than before....they haven't debited my credit card for payment and won't do so until they ship my unit but I have to continue to use my phone that I have successfully been using for the past two years. I feel for those who did not have cell phone service and signed up for service and bought the iPhone6. I guess the carrier will not charge them for service until they activate the phone once it is received.

I Have the samething going on. it means your phone has shipped!!! My card was charged last night, automated system said my phone was activated and would be here by Friday. Tried to get a tracking number, but Verizon says they are having problems with their system loading tracking info or something. If you call them their system will say "Order not found" and samething when you check your account, not happening to everyone but a lot of people are getting this. They told me if my card was charged, it's coming! My date got pushed back to the 3rd of November, but looks like they got their shipment in to fulfill orders.

OK - to recap my experience: On October 15 I order from the Verizon Wireless website under my account, an iPhone 6+, 64 GB, Space Grey. The expected ship by date was (and still is) November 14. I received an email confirmation that had my order details, confirmed ship by date and my order number. The email also had a link to check my status. I checked that status constantly and to this day it say "Your order is processing. Your shipping details will be available soon." It also has my order date, order number and Tracking number which is blank.


I logged into my Verizon Wireless account and it shows that have no orders that have shipped in the past 30/90 days and not orders placed in the past 150 days. At first I was concerned about this but other Verizon customers have said the same thing, so I let it be. I never called Verizon because from everything I've read the support team there has no idea what's going on and honestly they are at the mercy of Apple and when Apple decides to ship retailers/providers inventory. It's no secrete that Apple is shipping to Apple stores first, but rest assured that Apple wants to hit it's 3rd quarter and End of Year numbers and shipping to mobile providers is a huge part of that, especially because, at least Verizon, they don't charge for the order until it's shipped. Also, I've tried but finding a 6+ in an Apple store is almost impossible - some have been able to get one but many people are trying this option and often they don't get the color they want. I'm going to have this phone for 2+ years and payed and arm, leg and a couple fingers to get it so I want the color I want.


So today I received and email from Verizon titled "Things to know about your new Verizon phone." In this email it has direction on how to check my order status and sends me to a login type page that I insert the order number (which is now different than what was in the first email) and my last name. So, 3 weeks later I think they confirmed that they actually did receive my order and apparently it's still scheduled to ship by 11/14 - not really sure because this new page basically says the same as the old one. Having said that - when I click the link on that page that says "Review your order History in My Verizon" it still shows no orders....

Apple doesn't control how many orders Verizon takes. All Apple does is provide the units to Verizon, in the agreed upon timeframe. So far, I've seen no reports that Apple has failed to meet the quotas they've agreed to with the wireless carriers. What is happening is the wireless carriers are overselling the orders. When they should be saying 'Out of Stock, come back later', they are instead choosing to take your order and how you won't cancel.


If Manufacturer A says to Retailer B, "We will provide you 1000 units on October 15th,", but then Retailer B accepts 2000 orders, whose fault is that?

My husband ordered his iPhone 6 Plus (silver/64gb) as an upgrade to his Verizon Edge contract on 9/12/14 and I pre-ordered the same on 9/14/14 (no upgrade paying outright). We had the same ship dates but he received his on 10/7 and I am so out here waiting with an anticipated ship date of 10/24 that just barely updated with an order number this afternoon...fingers crossed it is on its way!

Much to my surprise, I received an 'order has shipped' email from Verizon a little while ago.

It's for a space grey 16G Plus that i ordered online on 10/21. I know that's not much room, but best I could afford.

The estimated ship date was originally 11/14, so I'm very surprised at this, might have to do with only being 16G?

There was no mention of UPS, just a FedEx tracking number, that FedEx doesn't recognize. Something just seems off.

One question I have though is how long does it take FedEx to be able to use the tracking number.

I know sometimes it takes a day or 2, but was wondering about others experience.

There apparently is no discernible pattern by model/size or location as to delivery date. I'm in SoCal and ordered my iphone 6+ 128gb on 10/8 online. I was given a ship date of 10/31. Haven't heard anything from Verizon since and no change in order status. I called Verizon and was told due to lack of delivery of phones from Apple my new ship date is now 11/21. Ironic thing is I choose 128gb because it had the earliest ship date of all the models. I see on this post that some who ordered the same day as me or later but the 64gb or 16 gb have gotten or are soon getting theirs. Go figure.

My situation is similar. I ordered the iphone 6+ 128gb in gold on October 18th with a ship by date of October 31st. On October 31st I received an email stating a new ship by date of November 21st. Verizon's website still shows the original ship date of October 31 when I go through the link but when I checked under my orders today it states:


We are working hard to complete your order. Unfortunately, it will not be shipped as originally scheduled. You will receive a shipment confirmation email when your order ships, which will include a new delivery date.


So does this statement pertain to the original shipping date or the new one? Who knows! I am now worried that on Friday I will receive another email with another delay. I have checked Apple stores in the SFO area and the phone is available. If I lived closer (5 hour drive) I would cancel the order and go to the store.


It seems that the 64gb's are shipping early for some and are now readily available, the problem seems to be with 128gb. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

I considered pre-ordering on 9/12, but the ship date available was 10/28, so I decided to wait in line on 9/19. I got there at 3:00 AM & was #14 in line. I was in the first group to be let into store, & they didn't have ANY 6+ 128GB. They only had 12 6+ total, all less GB. Frustrated, I ordered my 128GB Gray 6+ with an expected ship date of 10/31. Verizon has advised me that it may be sooner than that, but there is no info to date.

I am new to the iPhone world and was excited to purchase my first iPhone 6 plus. I ordered my iPhone 6 Plus/Gold/16GB on 9/21 at a nearby Verizon store and was told of a shipping date of 10/24. I just received an update this past Friday, 10/17 stating that my iPhone is on target for shipping on the date 10/24. I am excited to have this new phone, and twiddling my thumbs like crazy because I am ready to see what I have. I do, however, hope that Apple look at the heightened demand for these phones on this go round, and reevaluate the demand before launching just so everyone can have their phone within a timely manner. I am sure they weren't expecting such a demand as this and envisioned to have everything under control, however, China has pre-ordered their phones this past Friday, 10/17 and other countries are scheduled later in the month. All in all, we all have to wait for this new gadget and we are excited. I just disagree with the time of waiting as I will not see mine for another week if the ship date is on 10/24.
