A positive outcome for me, and maybe some hope for folks who are fighting the verizon on-line order tracking system.
Ordered the 64 gig grey plus on 9/22. Original ship date was 11/7. Last Saturday (25th) the order started processing, but that's when things went haywire.
I got an e-mail Sunday saying that my credit card didn't process and I needed to call. I talked to a Verizon store on Sunday (the business user call center is only open M-F). They couldn't find my order any more.
The on-line Verizon website showed the order as cancelled.
I called Monday, spoke to the business center. They said the order wasn't cancelled and would figure things out and call me back.
They didn't call back. Today - my order is still showing cancelled on-line.
I called this morning, expecting the worst, but the automated system said 'it looks like you're calling about your order - it's been shipped and arrives today - here's the tracking #'.
I hung up and tracked it. Sure enough - it was on it's way, and it was delivered 30 mins ago.
My order still shows as cancelled in Verizon system and the last 4 of the credit card showing are wrong.
No idea what's going on - but I'd just say - take anything you read in the on-line system with a large rock of salt. It looks like it's not accurate reflection of reality...
And my phone got here 10 days earlier than the expected ship date. Woo hoo !!!
