iPhone 6 vibrate intensity is very very weak compared to previous generation iPhones.

Got iPhone 6 on 9/19. Found out that Vibrate intensity is very very weak on iPhone 6 compared to previous generation iPhones. I keep missing calls and alerts when on vibrate mode. Is there any solution to this ?

I too have the issue. I can't feel it in my front pants pocket. I certainly could feel my old iPhone 4! I almost wish I hadn't upgraded! There are a lot of issues with this phone.. This one is huge causing missed calls and important text messages. I think it is important to post out here in a public open forum where Apple has to be aware of what is said about their products.

Some of you apple apologists give them a break on everything and try to make excuses for them. Look Apple isn't a gift from the Gods and has become pretty negligent in UI and customer satisfaction issues compared to days gone by. They deserve criticism when it is true and correct.

I just used the new chat facility to talk to a support rep about this issue. They had me go to settings, general, reset, network settings and reset the network connections. This definitely seemed to help. I called the phone and sent it a text message and now feel the vibration.

The rep also warned that I need to watch connectivity to my wireless carrier (AT&T) and make sure I have one or two dots of connection quality. They said to look for "no service". The reset worked fine in my home. I have to wait until Monday to check my office, but will do so there.

No, it does not affect the intensity of the vibration. The tech thought that I might be missing calls and text totally because of bad reception. Apparently resetting the network settings does affect the cellular connection.

I've noticed that the devices vibration is stronger in the back of the unit. When the device is in my pocket, I always put the face towards my leg which is the weaker side of the device. This is a major engineering defect and should be recalled, but of course it won't as they have shipped millions of these devices.

We all know we can turn on a ringer, a beep, or some other sound. The point is, the iPhone 6 and some other models (4, 5s) have very weak vibration modes where some other models (6+, 4s, others?) work very well. I'd simply like to be able to notice an alert with a simple hum (vibration) rather than a ding or some other sound that sometimes bothers those around me. I don't think that is too much to ask. I'm going to look into swapping my 6 for a 6+.

Actually, that's what "silent" mode is for. The vibration is so week, It's barely notifying at all, I've missed calls when it's sitting in my lap. Forget about if it's in a pocket, or even sitting on my desk next to me. Vibration mode should still be strong enough to alert you a call or text is coming through. It's basically glorified silent mode now.
