iPhone 6 black front camera dislocated

I have owned this new iPhone black since the launch date. I have noticed that the front camera is dislocated (used the phone very carefully - with skin and a screen protector since day 1). Camera is fully functional though - however I noticed that the camera is not aligned properly with the screen.

Does any one have or noticed similar problem?

iPhone 6 the same problem. In office we all had iPhone6 and 6+. All of 6 has the same front camera shifting but 6+'es are ok.Seems like a bad fortune. i think its the cronical problem of iPhone 6. it works but looks annoying and seems like imitation iPhones 🙂 . I used all models of iPhone since iPhone4 and didn't see anything like this. Greetings from Turkey...

this problem with the misaligned camera started with my first iPhone 6. The first

i went to a different store and this time they gave me the famous white box. I'm like yaaa! Not! The famous misaligned camera is slowly is coming back.I wonder

if the lemon law applys to this. Next I will ask Apple to give me a iPhone 6 plus cause it seems no is having these issues With the plus.

Sorry to say but Apple will not give you an iPhone 6 Plus if you only have the iPhone 6. I had a problem with a smart cover for an iPad and they wouldn't even switch out the color. Also had a first generation iPod nano and needed a replacement and I asked to switch from white to black and they wouldn't. The best you can hope for would to get a manager to approve a refund and then use that toward an upgrade to the 6 Plus.

I've got my screen replaced 2 already, on 2 different apple stores (trying to get a different batch of screens), and the problem persists.

At the store, I was told that all they can do is to keep replacing the screen until it goes off the warranty, then I am on my own. This is simply unacceptable. In one of the stores, one of the employees told me that's just the way it is, and even he had his black iPhone 6 with a crescent moon on the camera, and he couldn't do anything about it (he showed it to me).

"It is not affecting the camera" is unacceptable, because at the pace the camera shifts, if I leave it alone it will affect the camera pretty soon, and I don't want to have to pay to replace the screen due to a manufacturing problem.

Hi Guys,

I have an iPhone 6+ and I'm having the same problem, so it's not just iPhone 6's. I think perhaps the iPhone 6 has sold far more units it's being reported more? I hadn't noticed it until the other day I was FaceTime'ing someone and got pretty ****** about it. It's on it's way to be covered at one side so I'm glad I noticed before it got worse.

I bought my phone last December so it's still within warranty. I'll be taking a trip to my Apple store next week and won't accept anything other than a replacement with a brand new iPhone 6+ (with a years warranty of course). It's just not cool to replace a faulty phone with a refurbished phone. I will update here if I get a 'white box' phone and what they say about what it is.

Has anyone else tried to replace an iPhone that is within warranty in the UK?

Unfortunately you don't get to dictate what will be used for a warranty replacement or the length of that warranty. The warranty specifically states that they will replace with like or better parts and they are fully within their rights to replace it with a refurbished unit. Also, you do not get another full year warranty. You get the remainder of your warranty period or 90 days whichever is longer. Also, just be aware that when you go in with an attitude of demands, their willingness to help drops significantly. I even read a story once of a previous Apple Store employee that said when those type of situations arose, they would tell the customer it would be 5-7 days to get a replacement even though they could have done it on the spot. Ask politely if there is a chance of a new one instead of a refurbished unit if that's what you prefer. If they say no then just accept it as no amount of ranting and getting angry will get them to change.

OK, thanks for the information about dates and stuff, that is pretty useful.

I wasn't planning to go in with an attitude at all, I just thought I was aware of my rights under the sales of goods act in the UK.

And leading on from that story you mentioned in your reply, it's kind of disheartening to learn that they won't help certain customers despite what they're supposed to do. I work in finance and if I discriminated against anyone I'd be in serious **** - I just trust Apple to do the right thing? Maybe I'm being niavé?!

Thanks for your reply, it is appreciated!

I bought my macbook with applecare 3yr warranty. after a year I broke the screen and paid for a replacement D: , after 2 weeks and different information from each employee, lies about the "repair almost done" or "the part was in", phone calls saying its "now 2-3 days left", then later "the part hasnt been delivered yet" "yes its ready" I went into the store cause I was told the repair would take maximum a week, and they said they'd broken the motherboard and that needed fixing which was another "5-7 days". The motherboard on the macbook pro retina includes the processor, ram, storage.... basically replacing the entire inside of the macbook. After discussing apple's terrible handling of the whole situation he decided to replaced the macbook with a brand new one and give a refund, then they gave me a new 3yr warranty for this machine I'm on now! are you sure they don't add a year warranty on for non-applecare? and good luck LBONDO.

Also the crescent on my iPhone 6 isn't worth multiple trips to a shop and the possibility of a dud iPhone. My current iPhone 6 works very well. Does opening it up and sliding the crescent back void my warranty or anything? I doubt I'll break it. Actually its out of its year warranty now.

Their specific warranty policy on replacement products is that you get the remainder or your warranty period or 90 days, whichever is longer. Now of course the manager of the store can offer something different and I wouldn't be surprised to see that in a situation where they messed up so poorly.
