carplay and waze and Beats

How do you get Waze and Beats Music to display on a Carplay compatible radio? I have a Pionner AVH-4000NEX in my wifes car and it works great with the phone, Maps, Messages, and Podcasts, but I really want Waze and Beats Music. The Apple Carplay page says Beats Music is compatible.

All apps seem to play through the radio, but the ones that are not included in the Carplay screen have to be controlled from the phone and the Waze maps do not display on the radio.

Is this a configuration setting I have not found, or is this something that is not supported.

It would be nice to think but I'm not sure how much influence we have.

I don't know how much the listen if you give feedback. But, I know how much they listen if you say nothing.

the maps app does not work in all countries.

waze does... it should me compatible

I just put an Pioneer AVH-4100NEX system in my truck to find out that I cannot use my favorite navigation app. This *****. I am reading these posts from 15 months ago, you would think Apple would listen to their customers by now. Apple maps are terrible. You might as well say no traffic information. No police information like Waze, that's for sure. Disappointed in Apple on CarPlay that's for sure. I would have thought that they would have some around after almost 2 years. Pathetic....

It's not up to Apple to make Waze available in a CarPlay compatible App. That's up to the author... Google in this case.

Don't blame Apple for this one, complain to Google.

I normally would agree with you, however, Apple doesn't allow any third-party navigation apps.
