apps won't update. When I click "update" it just opens the app. Also, "update all" option is unavailable (grey) iphone 5

Same issue here. I thought I was low on space to do all 28 updates (haven't updated in a while). I cleared up over 3GB but still having same issue. I noticed the problem this morning 10/11

I too have this issue with iOS 7.0.6 with an iPhone 5. I ended up updating my apps through iTunes and that seemed to work.

Do you have 'restrictions' enabled?

I noticed the same problem yesterday on my iPhone 5 (7.0.3)

Update all option was greyed out and attempting to update individually just opened the app.

I did a hard reset and bingo, worked first time.

Restrictions are disabled. Hard reset did not work. In the meantime, I updated the apps via iTunes.

Same issue with my Ipad 2 and 2 Iphone 5 using IOS 7.04. last successful update 10/9.

When will Apple fix this issue? I thought it was a serious brand!!!!

There is a work around currently, jsut serach for the app in the app store and click update via the listing. This needs to be fixed ASAP though.

Instead of clicking the update button, click on the app icon, then you'll see another update button, click on that and it will work after typing your apple ID password. 😁

DId that. It updates the App however it still shows Update to the right of the App Icon, even after it updated. The red number badge is gone from the App store Icon
