I recently upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS 8 and the Health App is not working. when i click on it, it opens, but nothing happens, it is empty, and there is no data in any fields. I can't figure out how to get it to work.

I have experienced exactly the same thing. All health data is gone and every time I go
into the app it freezes. This is the same for Strava another app I am using for
walking and cycling.
Same problem, updated my iphone 6 to ios 8.01 & Health app just lost everything & does not capture any data from UP or Withings.
Tried resetting the phone as described here, tried resetting all settings, still no data in health app.
Updated to 8.02 with hopes this would be fixed, but nothing.
The Health App simply does not work!
I am really getting f#$%king ****** off with this "Health App". It is giving me more high blood pressure than anything else. Every week now I have to do a hard reset to get my f'ing data back. This is ridiculous.
Come on Apple. This is not on. Android users are laughing at you.
Fix this for fck sakes. Ppl like me that use the app to track body weight and blood glucose can't be loosing data like that. In fact no one any of your apps should have to do this.

This is what I now see on my iPhone 6 with iOS 8.3. Started two days ago. I had used the Health app for two days before it stopped counting the distance I walked.
