This is the same thing that happened to me when I went to apple. They didn't try to help with it or anything.

So they didn’t even talk with you or look at you?

Whoever you are, wherever you are from, you are a legend! Thought I lost all photos of the first 7 months of my daughters life and your simple advice saved me a massive heart attack!

Backing up my phone as we speak.

You are also syncing the photos to your computer, correct?

Then backing up your computer regularly, correct?

You are not just relying on a backup of the iPhone for pix?

HI,

I bought an Iphone 6s 4th November 2015, three months ago while the battery indicator was 30% it shut down by itself and didnt open unless i put it on the charger. I went to apple (Munich, Germany) and they told me that the phone needs a reboot and it will be ok. So i did it and randomly ( in 2 weeks period) did it again two-three times. Same Story when i was in Italy 1 month ago.....I went to apple (Rome) but they told me that they need to keep it for at least 3 days for check but i didnt have time for that. Finaly in Greece (where i live) i went to apple (again) and they told me to reboot (Again) and uptade to OIS 10.1 and that will solve the problem (29/10/2016). I did it and again nothing happent so i went back to the apple and they keep my iphone 1 week for check. The results ??

Apple : The device doesnt have any technical issues and the proplem is from the softwear.

Me : So? you did something with that and now its ok?

Apple: No we cant do somethinbg about that, the only thing we can do is to wait apple for new update.

Me: I bought an iphone mainly for business purpose for 600€ and doesnt work as it should. I came to you while is in guaranty and you telling me you can not do nothing?

Apple:Sorry sir, if you want we can call to Apple together. That is i can do for you.

If Apple is unaible to solve the problem of her pproduct......who can do this??

While the product is in guaranty, you are not obliged to "fix" the prblem of your product??

Now i have an Iphone that doesnt works as it should, the apple support...was not a support, and the phone now is off guaranty so i have to bye a new phone...i dont know which one yet. The problem is not the money i spent...the main problem is the disapointment.

Great job Apple.

One week ago, the screen on my 20-month old iPhone 6 went black while I was in the middle of responding to a text message. Since then, it has been completely non-responsive. It won't reset or accept a charge. I tried all the troubleshooting steps you listed. I tried multiple combinations of chargers and cables, I tried leaving it plugged in for more than 24 hours. Still, it remained completely inert. Last Thursday, I took it to Apple Store Fifth Avenue in NYC. Over the course of about 35 minutes, two Apple Geniuses repeated all of your troubleshooting steps and connected my phone to a MacBook running Apple diagnostic software. Bizarrely, the software repeatedly reported "no issues" with the hardware. Since they can't identify a fault, Apple is not willing to attempt a repair. The best they can offer is the option to purchase a refurbished phone with similar specs.

How can a phone have "no issues" and yet still be completely dead?
