Screen unresponsive when tapping.

I have been having an issue with my iPad Air ever since installing ios8. When Searching Google or any other search engine on Safari, the search results return, but tapping on them does nothing. I have to refresh the page and tap again. Also, sometimes the search comes back as a white screen until I touch it, which then makes the search results appear. I have similar screen response issues with YouTube. Trying to scrub through video is next to impossible. It takes about ten tries to grab the play head. I have done all the usual restarts and the network has been confirmed good by provider. Any thoughts?

The problem with Chrome freezing and force closing is due to Chrome. It freezes and crashes on the Air 2, too.

Update 10/24 - Also, now I am having to reply on a work PC because my iPad Air will not even type on this discussion page. It opens up the text box, but hitting the keys does nothing.

TThis is also happening to me...I'm so aggravated...I feel APPLE's hay day is over...ever since iOS 8.... I used to recommend apple to everyone, those days are gone too

NNo. Problems still there after 8.1 update. Absolutely no change at all. I want a new iPad. Mines crap after IOS 8. It's like sitting down to be aggravated!

same problems for me after the update. apple has seemed to veer away from the stability importance. most mornings i have to switch my wifi on and off to get it kicked back on.

UPDATE: My scrubbing, stuttering and unresponsive issues on the iPad 3 have been fixed since iOS 8.1.2.
