No widgets in Yosemite notification center

I can only view the weather in the notification center. The only other widget that can be enabled is Social. I had stocks, calendar, and the calculator all working with Public Beta 6. Does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?

So, when I go to HD>Library>Frameworks, I am missing the NotificationCenter.Framework command? I've got the AEProfiling.framework, AudioMixEngine.framework, NyxAudioAnalysis.framework amongst others but can't seem to find the notification centre framework command. It's quite frustrating as it's preventing me from using the notification bar to the best of its ability. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? I don't really want to redownload the whole OS again but this seems to be looking like its my only option.

I finally recupered the Calendar and Reminders Widgets:

Go to: Applications > Calendar > (Right Click, then show package contents) > Contents >PlugIns > [filename].appex
Double click it and the Widget Simulator will open, click in the green plus then close the simulator.
And that's all 🙂 the widget will now appear in the Notifications Center.

Do the same thing with the Reminders app.

Fixing the Social widget:

For this, go to: MacintoshHD > System > Library > PrivateFrameworks (not "Frameworks") > ShareKit.framework > PlugIns >

Then Click on every Icon on this folder (you can deactivate them later, like LinkedIn or Weibo) the Widget Simulator will show up and give you an error, but you will get your Sharing Options activated 🙂
Now you can Share from Safari, Preview or the Social Widget in the NC.

Finding Markup:

This extension gives the capacity to edit or sing docs in Mail app:

Go to: Applications > Preview > (Right Click, then show package contents) > Contents >PlugIns > [filename].appex

I've heard that the extension will disappear if you restart the mac.

Thanks Gubbz. That got the social widgets working again, but they didn't survive a reboot. To have them appear in the notification bar, I had to remove the social widget and re-add it. Fortunately I rarely reboot my mac so they'll stick around for a wee while I hope, or at least, until Apple gets a fix out. Not holding my breath though.

As for my notification widgets, the rest are working fine, but it isn't remembering the order I've sorted them into after rebooting.

Husbands Macbook Air hasn't skipped a beat and everything works great post-upgrade for him (usually its the other way around in this house!)

Hello,

Similarly to alikatnz my macbook air updated perfectly. It was only the iMac I had issues with.

However, using the Macbook air I have managed to overcome the reboot issue on the following items:

  1. Actions: Markup
  2. Today: Calendar, Reminders

To do this, I simply replaced the preview, reminders and calendar applications by copying the contents of the application contents folder from the macbook air to the iMac. I accessed the contents folders through the applications folder by right on each application and selecting 'show contents'.

If you don't have a second mac, you could extract the required files from the original Yosemite update package.

However, I still haven't managed to cure the sharing issue. I assume that I can copy files across from the macbook air, but don't yet know which ones. I tried replacing the notifications application found in the core resources folder, but had no success.

Additionally, something I haven't seen in this post yet, my Macbook air has a world clock in the notification centre. I haven't managed to get this running on the iMac yet. I don't know what application drives the clock. Once I figure this out, I will just copy the contents files across like in the case of calendar, preview and reminders.

Any suggestions on what application manages the share link?, or the clock?
