Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I have a Macbook Air mid 2013 with 4 Gigabytes of RAM, a processor speed of 1.3 GHz, Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB, and 250 Gigabytes of storage. My OS X is Yosemite 10.10. My Final Cut Pro X isn't updating. It is still 10.0.3 and won't give me new updates. I need the update because the application won't work on the new Yosemite update. How would I go about fixing this?

Manual uninstall, then redownload through the Purchases tab in the App store. Worked for me when I had this same issue. Easy, full instructions here: Final Cut Pro X 10.1: How to remove and reinstall Final Cut Pro X
Hi Tom, i'm trying to update FCPX but it keeps wanting to update it with the previous owners login info. I have purchased the software. How or can I get around the previous owners login?
You can't purchase the application from someone else. The license is not transferable. You can only purchase it from the App Store.
Hi Tom, I did purchase the software myself under my ID and password, but the app store won't let me by pass the previous owners info and use mine.
ON the first page of the App Store click on Account on the right side and change the Apple ID.
