Notification settings not being saved

Anyone else having the trouble that the notification settings are being reset everytime you log-in or restart?

Furthermore, login items are not respecting the 'hide' option.

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

For some reason that I cannot fathom, this did not work for me. I tried it twice. Bummer.
