Will this issue ever get solved?

What issue?
What function do you need to use that requires the iPhone to be "Connected" all the time?
Issue of
I checked many posts in the forum as well as in Google, and found many users are having the same issues..
I don't have an iPhone 6, but do have a 5s. No issues with either.
This is my original question, restated: Why do you think you need to manually connect your iPhone to your Mac via Bluetooth? All uses of Bluetooth between Mac and iPhone are automated and do not require you to Pair or Connect manually.
For AirDrop, you must be on the same WiFi network, same speed (5 GHz or 2.4 GHz).
Thanks.
I see. Please pardon my ignorance, can you please help me on it, as I am a new user of both devices..
How can I transfer files via bluetooth between Macbook Pro and iPhone?
Both devices are connected on the same WiFi network, but AirDrop from MacBook to iPhone doesn't work...

You must use AirDrop, so you need to get that working. You cannot transfer files via a Bluetooth connection.
You can also transfer files indirectly via iCloud Drive.
How new a user are you? When you buy a Mac (or an iPhone, I think), you get about 90 days of free tech support. If you are within that time period, give AppleCare a call and see if they can help.
If you can't use AppleCare, then you should start a thread asking for help getting AirDrop to work correctly.
Thanks 🙂
I didn't know that transfer file via bluetooth connection is not possible.
I didn't even know that I can call AppleCare and get their help..
Regarding the AirDrop thing, I have already found many threads about it, following those, hopefully will get the answer.. 🙂
I don't know why Apple will just not admit that Handoff/Continuity does not work properly most of the time. All the bluetooth and WiFi issues are solved when you turn Handoff/Continuity off. When it does work, it often duplicates your messages and sends them out multiple times, as if each device were sending the message independently. Or you lose your printer wireless connections. Or your phone won't pick up calls. Or your computer won't pick up calls. It's just too unstable to rely on and for anything important.
AirDrop is finally working! 🙂
In iPhone, I didn't change the visibility settings to 'Everyone', it was set as 'Contacts Only'..
MBA 13" OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 and iPhone 6 8.1.2 will pair but shows "Not Connected" on phone, and cannot "Connect to Network" in MBA Bluetooth settings...what gives??? It sees and connects to my fiancee's iPad Mini????

Stop Pairing your iPhone via Bluetooth. It is no longer supported for any function of Bluetooth. It still uses Bluetooth, but the Pairing is done automatically.
File transfer is done with Airdrop or iCloud Drive.
Tethering is done via WiFi Hotspot in the WiFi menu on your Mac.
Handoff/Continuity doesn't require Pairing.

I wonder why in iPhone's settings it is said: "TO CONNECT USING BLUETOOTH; 1 pair iPhone with your computer..."? Like here.

Because it is old and hasn't been updated, and it still applies to computers that run something other than OS X Yosemite.
My iPhone 4 (iOS 7) connects to Macbook Pro but disconnect itself after one second ...
Very annoyed Apple didn't make things functioning as before or should prevent us about this issues before we upgrade to Yosemite...
Yosemite 10.10.1 installed and I'm very sad... can't type onto iPhone from Mac anymore...
Life-long Apple fan...but I've got to tell you guys (Apple), the products just don't seem "to work" out of the box like they used do - very disappointing. Latest (sad to even have to say "latest") issue: I upgrade from my iPhone 5 to an iPhone 6 and now I can't connect to any of my Mac's (relatively new MacBook Pro and iMac less than 6 months old), all running Yosemite 10.10.1, via bluetooth. I get a short-lived "connected" then...disconnected. Sadly, as I have discovered by reading all of these posts, this problem has been going on for awhile. Once again I say...Apple, what is going on? The world wonders....
