Magic Mouse disconnects

My Magic Mouse disconnects (turns off) after 5/10 seconds after connecting it to my Mac. I have to lift the mouse and click the mouse button in order to turn in on again.

I've had a look at some other posts but none of them seem similar to mine. The mouse rarely reconnects itself, you have to physically lift and shake (press) the mouse in order for the green light to light up again and the mouse to connect.

The mouse seems to disconnect (faster) when not in use (even for 1 second). If I keep using the mouse (fast moving the pointer) it seems to keep connected. I've tested with multiple batteries (Mac indicates 100% charged). It came with my 2012 Imac OSX 10.10.

Does anyone recognize this problem, or (even better) does anyone know how to solve it?

I have had the problem the last period of time. Might be after yosemite, I cant really remember exactly. My mouse moves very slow, and stuttering and disconnects/reconnect etc. The same goes for my BT trackpad. I've had the computer for years and no problems in the past. First, I thought that the bluetooth unit in my MBP was faulty, but it seemed that others had the same issues.

I tried the disable Wifi, and then my BT units works fine again. There must be some kind of issue in Yosemite that causes this error. I really hope that it will be fixed soon.

I also have a wireless phone on my desk but I have had this in several years without any problems.

I'm repeatedly getting the 'Connection Lost' message with my brand new Magic Mouse and 15" MacBook Pro. The issue began immediately after I set them up yesterday.

I've read that it may be the batteries, but I'm using the factory-supplied Energizer batteries so surely they should work. I'm not using any wireless devices nearby other than my iPhone 5, which I imagine should also be fine.

I'm willing to invest in the Apple rechargable batteries, but I'm unsure if this will make any difference given that the problem is there with the Energizers I'm currently using. I could exchange the device for a new one, but I don't want to be without a mouse for a week whilst it's being processed.

Any advice would be appreciated. I'm loathed to stick paper inside the mouse given the cost of the device, so if that's the only solution I'll reluctantly get a refund and buy a mouse from an alternative brand.

Dear friends..it seems its actually a battery contact problem..

I was having this for last month..i came across a simple solution in some forums in internet..i am just copying those solutions here..the second one is easier and it worked for me. I'm using magic mouse without connection drops for last two months...

1 Remove the batteries from the Magic Mouse.2 Cut a small piece of aluminum foil about ½-inch square in size.3 Wrap the aluminum square around the negative terminal of the battery.4 Re-insert the batteries into the Magic Mouse.
The extra thickness of the aluminum foil produces a bit of additional force wedged between the battery and the spring-loaded contact. This makes the battery less likely to be jarred away from the contact when you move the Magic Mouse around.
This may be enough to fix most Bluetooth disconnect problems, but if your Magic Mouse still experiences an occasional disconnect, there's one more modification you can try.
1 Remove the battery cover.2 Cut a piece of paper into a rectangle about 1 inch by 1-½ inches.3 Place the paper on top of the batteries, roughly centered. Tuck any excess paper around the edge of the batteries.4 Re-install the Magic Mouse battery cover.
The extra paper acts as a wedge between the batteries and the battery cover, to help hold the batteries in place.
These tricks worked for me.
