facebook videochat updater causes this notification to popup

Open the terminal and type:

launchctl remove com.facebook.videochat.[username].updater

just replace “ [username] “ with the user’s account name on the computer.

Just have in mind that everytime you boot your mac you need to retype it on the terminal to take effect otherwise popup will appear again.

This solver my question.

But in my case I preferred to delete the file. These kind of file recreate themselves when needed so no worries. In doing so you won't have to stay retyping the command in Terminal every reboot.

Just run a search by pressing cmd+F on your keyboard and type com.facebook.videochat then choose This Mac to run the search on your whole Hard Disk. Then you must add a filter to search even in your system. You must do this by selecting the button "Kind" a drop down menu will popup, then select "Other..." then type "system: in the top right corner search field and select the only option that comes up (Include system files, such as...) and then the OK button. Then select "are included" from the button next to it.

This will give you some results. Just choose the one that's in the LaunchAgent folder and delete it.

It will never pop up again.

Enjoy ;-)
