I have a mid 2011 Mac Mini (8Gb) with bluetooth keyboard, track pad and mouse, hard wired to a router and used to get 160 MBs down and 12 up consistently in Mavericks. Since upgrading to Yosemite, this has been as low as 30 down. even Chrome shows around 70 MBs maximum. I was considering reporting this to my ISP but when I reboot using bootcamp to Windows 8.1, I get the full speed on the same Mac Mini

My Mac doesn't support hand-off so no option to turn off, wifi is off and bluetooth needs to be on for the peripherals.

I was in the Edinburgh Apple Store (finally opened 2 weeks ago) on Sunday and was playing with a MBP at £1599, i7 processor, etc. I couldn't get it to load photos on Flickr on my own page signed in or out) or on other people's pages.

There's definitely some issues and have been since the betas.

I have the same issues. keeps kicking me off my wifi. Super slow internet compared to another mac in the house without yosemite. I have a late 2013 Macbook pro Retina with SSD. So angry about this. Can't get any work done because it keeps kicking off the internet. One minute I will have 30 mps next I will have nothing or 5mps.

Hi - step 1 on this page http://osxdaily.com/2014/10/25/fix-wi-fi-problems-os-x-yosemite/ has fixed the problem for me and my husband. I have 2014 MacBook Pro and he has 2010 (-ish) MacBook Air. We can now use the internet over wifi with decent speeds AND have Bluetooth on. Yay!

Neither of us had the file

com.apple.network.identification.plist
so we just moved the other 4 files.

I got a couple of errors when I tried to connect to the wifi again after rebooting, but it was obviously just while the Mac was recreating those files. (I had also moved a file called com.apple.network.eapolclient.configuration.plist since it had "network" in the filename, but that hasn't been re-created. Not sure if I need it... I'm not a techie!)

Hope this article helps some of you too!

greetings all! This is NOT ONLY A WIFI ISSUE. ive got the same problem using a cable. Yes, no wifi, there's still HUGE connectivity problems. I did a clean install, and real clean. I formatted the HD. This is a real problem as a program I rely heavily on needs to download. The program is Logos Bible software, and there's over 10 GB that need to download. It only gets about 500 mb done, and then just stops. It's impossible to get the computer to do more. Web browsing is also irradic. This is just simply awful!

I've got my issue fixed and it wasn't Yosemite, well not entirely. I found a post on another website (Macrumours I think) where someone had the same issue as me, Mac Mini, drop in download speed on all browsers. The solution was to disable web protection in Sophos anti-virus, I tried that and my downloads on speediest.net jumped from 60 -70 MBs to 160 MBs. I'll try and see if this will allow me to download all my app updates via iTunes as it always timed out at least 1/3 of them for the last year or so (mind you that included Mavericks). That might be an Apple Server end issue though....inal post
