Firefox crashes after installing Yosemite

I installed Yosemite last night and almost the first thing I noticed was that Firefox would crash when it opened. I loaded it into safe mode and removed all my add-ons hoping that might help, but it still crashes. I uninstalled it as well, but I'm still getting the crashes. I have the latest version installed, but for now I can't use it much unless it's in safe mode. Has anybody had the same issue, or would anybody have any suggestions on what the issue might be?

I'm using an iMac running Yosemite 10.10 with a 2.8 GHz Intel Core 7 processor with 32 GB of RAM. Firefox is version 33.0.

Even with a clean OX X installation does firefox crash when you exit it.

Definitely a mozilla issue.

My Firefox is now 33.0.2 and it works fine.

I'm also using 33.0.2 for some days now, still the same problem.

I can use FF for some time, but than it freezes and I have to force a stop.

Same problem here too. I have the latest version of FF and I've deleted everything in association with firefox and reinstalled but it crashes about 5 minutes after opening no matter what I do. If I open the add-ons it immediately crashes. Loading in safe mode and reseting doesn't make any difference.

I am running 33.0.2 and it would crash every time I was using it until I deactivated FoxyProxy. Works fine now, no freezes or force shutdowns necessary.

Just updated firefox to 33.0.3. So far, so good.

My firefox works better now, and has not crashed yet. Some cache related issues also seems gone.

I saw that Firefox didn't launch after installing Yosemite. I changed the security&privacy settings to allow apps downloaded from anywhere to launch. That seemed to work.

MacBook Pro Mid 2009... I was having trouble getting Firefox to open. My solution was to copy and paste it into HD/User/(my drive)/Applications and run it from there. Every attempt to run it from HD/Applications failed. Would seem that Firefox gets installed by OS X to the root Application folder but I suspect that the internal links are still linked to the User/Application folder... Good luck..
