Bluetooth problem with OSX Yosemite: Magic Mouse and Keyboard

Haven't tried that. But now the problems are back on the iMac...

the Beta is still working although they haven't fixed the wifi problem ( that the wifi disconnects after wake-up).

Hi - did you ever get a fix for this? My Magic Mouse is driving me mad!

Still having the lag problem after installing Yosemite. Tried bluetooth speakers, cheap ebay bt mouse and a logitech m557. Looks like I might have to sacrifice a usb port to use a proper wired mouse. ***** to only have 2 on an Air. 😢

I still have the occasional problem on 10.10.2 beta

OK, so the only alternative will be to buy a wired mouse. That ***** Apple!

..or from the discussions - buy a cheap 3rd party USB bluetooth adapter and disable Apples.

Which completely defeats the purpose of using bluetooth to save on usb ports. 😟

As you say - not really acceptable - Apple need to address the problems....

I can only reiterate what someone's written already, disengaging WiFi for the past fews days has made Bluetooth work.

I run my macbook as a desktop so run wifi off and I still see the occasional bluetooth issue on wake from sleep.

Back to the same-old, same-old. Where's a fix when we need it?

Just voicing my displeasure in this as well. Had the problem since 10.10 and now 10.10.1. Bluetooth will work and then randomly (but consistently) bluetooth will do more than just lag, since the lag can last .25 seconds to > 2 seconds. Frustrating that with this many complaints a fix has not come out yet.

Using 10.10.1 -- Being desperate after having no mouse for >3 days (resetting everything, removing BT preferences plists etc.etc) I tried the above steps and guess what. The SECOND my mouse pointer hovered over the wifi icon and it started to scan wifi networks "your mouse is now connected"..

Have not done any further investigations but for me this (temporary?) fix worked like a charm..

Potentially interesting: I also have 2 magic mice... 1 in the office and 1 at home..

I just finally upgraded to Yosemite on my MBPro 15" Retina and ran into this issue with my magic trackpad. I did some testing and found this to be true in my case:

1. This issue only presents itself when Safari is running. No Safari, no issues.
2. If Safari is running, I can make the issue disappear for 1-3 minutes at a time by launching the Bluetooth Preference Pane and giving it focus. Then I go back to what I am doing until the issue rears its head again and then I give the BT PP focus again (i just leave it running).

I can reproduce both of these across reboots.

I have to assume this is a handoff related issue

Needless to say, #2 is annoying so I just don't run Safari.
