I have the exact same issue, Safari worked at first after I got Yosemite, but now I can't launch the app at all. The icon just bounces once and stops. Help!
EDIT: I've also just noticed that Mail doesn't want to launch either. Great.
How do i reload Safari.
I have deleted programs like Genieo and install Mac but Safari still wont open
I am also having problems deleting large files from my Mac that appear to be hidden
Me too! I only upgraded because I thought Safari would get better... wrong it is now working but abysmally slow and keeps crashing and Mail is playing up as well.ple get this fixed!!!
C'mon Apple – please get this sorted! ASAP!
This has helped me:
1. Click on the apple logo in the left corner of your mac
2. Go to Location and change the location from automatic to any other option - the wireless network will be disconnected
3. Go to Location again and choose Automatic - the wireless network will be restored again and you can use safari now.
this is the best solution I have found by trial.

This is what I've been told as well spending hours on the phone with Apple. None of my mac apps (App store, safari, mail, preview....) work after installing the latest update of OSX Yosemite (First version works).
Been rebooting back to the first edition of Yosemite 3 times now. So tiering, no solution out there????
Thank you to "MacFrom7" who posted earlier about following Invalid Certificate! I followed these steps under the Go Menu as suggested, dragging the offending file to the Trash. I restarted my computer and Safari now works!
