screen saver default keeps changing

It is OUTRAGEOUS that Apple have not fixed this... it is a real waste of time to have to keep changing the settings in System Preferences so that my iPod photos feature on the Screen Saver rather than the Nat Geo "stuff".

NEVER had the problem with any previous Mac.

I had this problem when I updated my iMac in the Fall of 2014, and I just bought a new iMac, and it is having the same problem. My father-in-law says he is having the same problem. I do not understand how this problem could appear which no other OS had, and they still have not fixed the bug. What is happening?

Adding my name to the growing list of people really disgusted by this problem.

Yes, it's a stupid thing. Yes, it's frivolous. Yes, it's not about some 'work' related and therefore probably not essential.

But this is Apple. It's supposed to be fun. And now I'm just angry that the problem has gone on so long and doesn't seem to be being addressed.

I have been a loyal Apple person for forever - this is the first time I feel completely angry about something - and something so silly, it's bothering the crap out of me!

I am another to add to the list.

I have always been pleased with the help I have received from Apple and its why I have stuck with them even though I end up feeling stupid when I try using the computer at work (which is not a Mac and only happens a few times per year). Apple has always seemed to pay close attention to even the smallest detail and I may be wrong but it does appear this would only take a low level programer to fix something that had already worked flawlessly in other OS

Try 'repair disk permissions' if you still have Yosemite. It is not an all purpose solution, but it puts permissions back in order. I don't expect it will work for everybody, but some will find it does work for them.

Go to go folder and type ~/library/preferences

Find com.apple.screensaver.plist select it and right click on it & simply move to trash .

Restart & empty the trash .
