Black screen and very slow graphics

Hey,

So I updated to Yosemite cause I thought that maybe fix my problem. But it didn't.

Still have the same problem on startup. I get a black screen right after the apple logo loading screen.

When booted in safe mode, graphics are very very very slow. See video I recorded with my phone:

I'm beginning to think it has something to do with a graphic driver or my video card.

Anyone got any ideas?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Hey, no problem at all. Thanks for the reply. Hope you had a good weekend!

Unfortunately, no. I tried the "recovery installation" you advised but nothing changed. Still the same. Still using the MBP in safe mode. Which actually isn't bad, except for the slow graphics and not having sound. But it's just not good of course.

I understand if you're out of ideas 😀
