OS X Yosemite installation failed

I had today the same issue here (Feb 2016). Do this:

Open the terminal in the install screen, and type: date

After this you need put the actual date in your computer like this: Date 0218175016 (monthdatetimeyear) String of numbers = month02, date 18, time 1750, and year 16, combined.

After this is done, i work for sure. My macbook have an memory upgrade and dont have a battery. Is this simple to solve it hehe.

I had the same problem for str8 3days... until I discovered that my yosemite installer was kind of outdated, released in 2013 so what I did was open terminal via recovery and change my date to 2013 then restarted the restarted the process then it just worked like magic😉

Seems like ur installer is old so in order to get it verified you must change the date to an earlier date with terminal eg...on the 3 of June 2016 I got the same problem then I changed the date to 3rd June 2012 then it installed smoothly

Thanks so much ReggieSA, you are correct. The date needs to be prior to the date of the installer package itself. A lot of websites have got this wrong, suggesting that the date needs to be changed to the current date, which did not work for me. However, your suggestion did work and I highly appreciate it.
