Mail Push not working or is it?

My question is about mail push. I don't believe mail push is working correctly. Or that it is and I just don't understand how it is supposed to work.


Currently running iPhone 5 - IOS 8.1

In my screenshot attached, you can see that the current time was 2:44pm and the two mailboxes that are blacked out are Exchange accounts set for push. However, each time I unlock my phone and go to the mail application , I see the mail update. In this case, the mail was last updated at 2:32pm. Once the refresh finished all my mail flooded in (all the mail over the 12 minutes it didn't update).


This sounds like pull to me, not push. Anyone else have or have seen this before? and what do you recommend?

This worked for me too, thank you. My problem was not that I wasn't receiving new emails but that the read status was not being updated. So it looked like I had lots of unread emails when I had read them on my MAC. Now the count is immediately updated again. I had this all set up and working fine on my iPhone 4s but it stopped working and I bought an iPhone 6 and had had the problem since then. Thanks again to CRM-User
