Where is switch 2G/3G/LTE in iOS 8?
iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1
Well, we are not alone: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1805502&highlight=2g+3g
Yes, please read that and see that many have gotten the settings back, based on their carrier update. Do not selectively read to highlight your problem. Are you using a supported carrier for the iPhone? Why won't you contact your carrier?
Same carrier, but one iPhone has switch and another iPhone it's absent. Why I should talk to carrier? Same carrier in both devices.
Man with two different devices: http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=20156064&postcount=10
Then go into Settings>General>About>Carrier, and see what appears on both devices.
Because one phone has the carrier update installed, and the other does not.
Another man from same site:
Surely something amiss. I'm having the same problem. Im gonna restore and report back. A friend of mine who is on the same network and same phone as mine got the option to switch between 2g,3g and lte. Heck even the carrier version was the same in settings >general>usage!

How does the update settings processing? Alarm message? But there is no any messages. Settings version is same.
The carrier said that the problem is in the iphone firmware.
I warned: it's useless.
Then go into Settings>General>About>Carrier, and see what appears on both devices.
On both devices I see MobileTelesystem 18.0. Screen above from another man, who with same problem.
Have you updated to 8.1? The release notes say that the 2g/3g/LTE switch was fixed in the release.
Oops, my mistake. From beginning, I mean iOS 8.1. After update to 8.1 I has no this switch.

Megafon (carrier): "According to our information there is no such possibility. We recommend you to check with the manufacturer."

It is obvious there are two different settings going on here somewhere. Just take a look at the top of the screen, Cellular vs. Mobile, Cellular Data vs. Mobile Data. Something about the two devices is different. Check the model numbers if they are both the same iPhone. One may come from a different region.
In one city with same carrier two iphone 5s... There is enough statistic from many blogs to understand: this is not carrier problem but Apple.
Waiting for new patch.
