Am I the only one (still...) having issues with Bluetooth after upgrading to iOS 8.1...?

Hi fellas,

I guess my expectation level was way too high regarding this upgrade from iOS 8.0.2 to 8.1: my iPhone 6 still can't connect to Bluetooth peripherals, whatever they may be...

I have a MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard, and a PC with Windows 8.1 update on it, and none of them can pair with the iPhone, no matter how hard I try.

Have you guys found workaround measures or (hopefully) solutions?

I swore today was my last day going to work with the crappy Apple-issue headphones that came with the phone, and I'd pack my faithful Sony Ericsson BT to work tomorrow... 😠

Jacksosi!! You are the best!! I've got an iPad 3 that paired with my Jaybird BlueBuds X for months, and even after the update to iOS 8 and above. The pairing problem happened when I wiped my iPad two days ago, and was updating and manually adding my emails and apps back in. My brother is an Apple Genius, and I asked him what to do. He was stumped after a while b/c he was the one who told me to restore manually, and not from a back-up because of the crashing issues I was having for about a month.

All updated, but it WOLD NOT recognize my BlueBuds X for anything! I tried all the Bluetooth on/off stuff; I tried resetting my network (WiFi), and tried these things in every variation I could think of. I need these BlueBuds to watch shows on my iPad while on the treadmill! It was a crisis!! =D

Found this post, and so I had the BlueBuds X on "off." Had the iPad Bluetooth turned on. I turned pushed the middle on/off button and continued to hold it down, even after the "Power on," message was said. Kept holding and it said, "Searching for your music device..." The BlueBuds X FINALLY came back up as a device option and I pushed it to pair! YAHOO!!!

Thank you SO much, Jacksosi!!! 😁!!

My computer absolutely did not work with my iPhone 6Plus, wouldn't answer the phone, etc. After 2 hours of following all these recommendations, have it on same network, try to get on Bluetooth (Wouldn't pair), etc. I did figure out one thing:

iMessage wasn't logged in. Once I started iMessage, I could answer my phone with my 2012 MacBook Air! Hey, it's not everything, but it's something.

Wow! THANKS GUYS! 😀 Turn on iMessage, iPhone 4s iOS 8.1.2 pair Bluetooth headset again 🙂 Thank you 😎

In California we get 14 days to use, try and return a new phone. I am afraid my "upgraded" iPhone 6 is going back tomorrow from bluetooth connectivity problems. Both my 5 and my 6 have been running 8.1.1 but the 6 has major connectivity issues with my bluetooth earpieces which I use at work. They will connect but I can not do a long call without a disconnect and I use this phone constantly for business from my home office. The 5 simply has a more robust bluetooth connection. Now it that a 5 vs 6 thing or do I simply have a good 5 and a bad 6? Who knows.

The 6 also seems to have cellular connectivity issues that the 5 doesn't. I don't live in a great Cell Strength area, but my 5 worked just fine even with only 1 bar. My 6 seems to drop calls in areas of my home and office that the 5 didn't. Unfortunately these are deal breakers. For now I am assuming individual phone variability and returning to me tried and true 5 until it gives up the ghost on my. At that point I will go to a 6 or maybe by then it will be a 6S or 7.

Am I the only one (still...) having issues with Bluetooth after upgrading to iOS 8.1...?
