Hello,

i have same problems with ios 8.1 with my Ipad3. when the Google search shows me the results, the blue links does not respond when I tap. Safari was as if frozen. I have to drag the page up or down so that the link becomes active again. Further the application is very slow. Today I tried iPad Air it was same thing !!!!

the problem persists since updating iOS8.0.0. I am very disappointed with Apple.

Haha this star traveler guy is comical.

iOS7: works great

iOS8: laggy and unresponsive

Star Traveler's response: There is no problem. If there is, just upgrade your hardware!

Grade ride A level tech support there. We'll listen to you because you have internet points and follow the ToS to a T.

This thread was a good read. Thanks to those who provided actual solutions.

Same problem here, i have buy 3 months ago the iPad Air and have the same problems. I find out that when you go to Google and search on a subject then the Google page let see the results. Do not click on a item but refresh the page and then try to click on one result. It is not possible to click any.

All the iPads i have tried have the same problem. I called Apple and they still telling me that i am the only one with this problem.

I think it is time to sell all my Apple products because the products and the service are very low on this moment.

I have an iPad Air....frustrating Safari issues even after 8.1 update....Safari links stop working after search results, but sometimes even when I begin a new search nothing happens...Safari freezes up! I would then switch over to Chrome and get perfect and very fast results!

Huh...How can that be? What's happening Apple?? Chrome works better on an iPad than does Safari?? APPLE where's your pride!!

I decided to post a little poll in the Apple google+ community yesterday afternoon.

It's well known that these kinds of polls "self-select" towards a problem, because all those, no matter how small a minority they are, will GRAVITATE towards complaining about an issue. The ones who are doing okay, are NOT LOOKING for problems ... they are running fine. Therefore a self-selecting poll will gravitate towards users having a problem, and are not representative of anything.

In other words, it's like this "users helping other users" forum ... most people come here not because everything is running all right, but because they are "looking for a solution" for a problem they have ... LOL ... therefore people here have already "self-selected" to being overly representative of "problems".

If you go to a hospital, you're going to find sick people there, except for the staff who take care of the sick people. It's the same with self-selecting polls and forums dedicated towards "problems".

Agree or disagree, there is a problem. A widespread, serious problem.

There's a problem for some, and not widespread or even a majority. It's a small minority. Now, for that small minority, some of those people may have an "all-encompassing" problem, but not even all of that small minority has an all-encompassing problem. For some of those in the minority, it's a minor problem, while for others (as I just said) it may be "all encompassing".

FYI - I have to write this post on a Windows 8.1 system since my iPads and iPhones won't stay connected to the net long enough for me to post.

I'm posting to you on my iPad ... right at the moment being WiFi, but prior to the WiFi session I'm on now, I was using cellular.

Could you do us a favour and just stop your very unusefu comments and advice?

If you use the forum the way it states to be used, namely a user posting a problem, then another user giving you a solution that you can implement to the problem, then I don't say much other than giving some solutions, and that's it. And I've given a large number of users, here, solutions that they've been able to implement themselves.

On the other hand, if you want to engage in commentary about Apple's policies or business practices or statements of Apple's intent, or rants or statements "to Apple" or "about Apple" ... you can absolutely count on me jumping in there. That's my cue for "open season" on comments ... :-) ...

If someone else engages in off-topic comments, outside of asking for a solution and offering a solution ... then I'll be right there, too.

Therefore ... "it's up to you" ... :-) ...

Star Traveler, after my 4th attempt of following your magnificent corrective instructions, my iPad 2 STILL operates like something that a red-headed child of Bill Gates and Khloe Kardashian might have envisioned.

If you followed my advice, then you have an Apple Support trouble ticket ... a specific number that you have on your account, that you can followup for escalation on the item in question on that trouble ticket.

The question here is going to be, very simply, do you know your trouble ticket number?

Maybe it's time your stopped your sarcastic comments to Apple customers who have issues with their devices. If you can't help the customers of Apple in question maybe it's best to say nothing rather than appearing to be trying to provoke posters who are frustrated at the poor performance they are experiencing. It gives a negative impression of the Apple brand.

Your funny. Where do you come up with all your crap. Do you work for Apple?

Note that the poll was posted on an Apple (I could call it fanboy) community and I posted back their results. If I wanted to trick the poll I would have put it in a problem resolution community but I decided to put it in the general Apple community with over 100000 fanboys just so you couldn't use the argument you just posted.

Get over youself and stop polluting this thread with your annoying remarks and let the people that are experiencing issues express themselves accordingly.

Thank you

people who are having an issue with 'Google'....have you tried using BING instead?!? there are still some issues but i'm finding i have very few while using Bing

on another note...PLEASE PLEASE stop polluting threads with bashing and troll comments. take it elsewhere. it does not help solving issues and is getting tiresome.

post a problem..take or leave the advice..try the advice and post if it did or did not help. nothing more needs to be said. i really don't get this need to endlessly crap on others....

Same issues as everybody else on 8.1 . I wiped everything on my 1st gen iPad mini to factory, bugs remain, Safari is annoying to use now. Keyboard lag, apps running slow. Had just submitted a post about if Apple should allow at least A5 devs to go back to ios7 since 8 is too heavy for them to handle and they deleted my post... We want our smooth performance back, if they don't fix it just let us go back to iOS 7! Is that so harmfull for them?
