Hello,

I have to drag the page up or down so that the link becomes active again. Further the application is very slow. Today I tried iPad Air it was same thing !!!!

the problem persists since updating iOS8.0.0. I am very disappointed with Apple.

Since you are obviously not helping. Could you please respect the rest of the people here that have actual problems and let them express their opinions and discontent with Apple?

We know, that in your opinion a forum is no place to complain. Who cares about your opinion, just report us to Apple, maybe it will make them take a look at our issue.

How many of us have to tell you that we heard you and your opinion is not helpful or wanted before you actually give up?

We want our smooth performance back, if they don't fix it just let us go back to iOS 7! Is that so harmfull for them?

Many users hers here on this forum have gotten their performance back. I've lost count in how many have solved their problem from following one or more of the various solutions offered on this forum. I'm more than happy to give you a solution that may very well solve your problem, if you wish.

As far as Apple having people revert to a prior iOS ... they have actually NEVER done that from the beginning of the iPhone and iOS and they don't even have the infrastructure in place for dealing with the myriad of problems that would be created by doing that. All you have to know about "that" is that Apple moves forward and not backwards, and if there is something that Apple has identified (through you filing a report with Apple Support) Apple will fix that. If it's something just on your device, then you'll have to cure that with your own device, and Apple will also help you with doing that.

Nuf@n I agree with you, leave him alone, but on the last thing he said he's right, if we all (and I mean all) get to Apple through feedback maybe they will listen. I did my part, I think it's the only way to get to them, chat support only says "you can't downgrade". On feedback I just asked to let us go back to iOS7, just for the poor performance.

The problem is we can't tell others, because a post saying "leave feedback" will be deleted just as they did to mine. But it's worth a try. Cheers

Like Dreamboy, I also was able to revert to 7.1.2 just in time. I was mortified by the massive usability problems when I went with the new 8.0; Actually, it wasn't "useable" at all. Virtually nothing worked - basically bricked. The list of issues exhibited by my tablet is, quite simply, too long to print here. Switching back to iOS7 COMPLETELY RESTORED its functionality, proving the problems are operating-system-based. I feel for all those who are stuck with whatever version of 8 they ended up with. I am SO COMPLETELY OUTRAGED by Apple's indifference. I've written them a number of times with no response. They aren't, in any way, acknowledging their guffaw regarding many of the (older) now RUINED devices. I hear nothing in the press, except for that iOS 8 isn't working well for their new flagship phones. I've even written questions to various computer publications; also without results. NO ONE at Apple is paying attention to their previous customers and fans, who are very likely to be permanently turned off of Apple products in the future. And I'm thinking the number of those is turning out to be quite large. How I wish they just would have just put in some sort of effort to alleviate our very serious problems. Anyway, my iPad Mini is still going strong. I was hoping to have a decent version of 8, because the new apps and features available sound enticing. But there's virtually no way I'm trying to upgrade again, after hearing just how many other horror stories there are. Good luck to everyone. Keep posting here, and to Apple directly. Maybe someday they will pay heed, and offer the solutions that we, quite frankly, deserve.

Someone suggested resetting all settings to fix the Safari freezing problem. Since it only played up while typing, I tried reserting the dictionary only and it seems to be working well now. I recommend giving it a try.

i Have noticed a certain troll (yes Star Traveller...rub your hands together with glee...I'm talking about you) still being a massive obnoxious pain. I looked up how to report a troll and worked out why he's so insistent on being a pain. You need rank 2 to report posts like his, and he only annoys level 1 users. You have to ignore him, because that's all you can do until you get enough points to rank up...andI think Star Traveller is painfully aware of that. Don't read his posts...they won't help, they will only make you more frustrated and because Apple have set things up the way they have you have no ability to do anything about him anyway. i expect he'll have some smart response to this, but he should be aware by now I won't be reading it.

Those are called hallucinations ... :-) ... that you are having.

Are you having difficulty reaching that level? All you have to do is simply give people actual and real solutions that they can do themselves, and those people have the power to thank you by awarding you points. In other words when you DO help people, you get points. You might be "reflecting" right now on why you don't have points.

The people who have read my posts and have gotten solutions to their problems have also come back to thank me for doing so and they have awarded me points. It's your loss if you don't want to listen to all the possible solutions.

jjust to note...the dictionary reset didn't solve the problem, but it did reduce the number of occurrences. I still suggest trying it though, as it has made using the tablet much more tolerable for me

I didn't read it, but I bet $100 that ST responded to my advice with an inflammatory remark while giving himself a pat on the back and telling everyone how wise he is. if his post doesn't continue to prove inflamtory and unhelpful, I'll eat my hat. How much more proof do people need? Ignore him. Its the best way to deal with serial pests.

Can there be any person who can say that Apple treats customers as valuable persons ?

Way how IPAD 2 users are treated, served and issues solved shows clearly how they just care of new purchases. All crashes, slowness, WLAN issues, battery consumption, extremely bad user experience with slow and jamming UI etc... Anyway this is over now with me as I'm moving out from IPAD / IOS due this experience. Ride was a good but now its over as trust is totally destroyed by Apple.

I asume that my account will be cleared and community hates me but are we ready to accept this performance from one of world leading brands ?

I'm waiting to see if the reported version iOS 8.1.1 fixes these absurd Safari problems when it finally comes out. While I've found some workarounds (like closing all other tabs before doing entry into a paragraph box, such as this one), there is no way we should have to come up with such gimmicks. Using iOS devices (and I've got 5 of them in our household) is no longer a pleasant experience. It's going to be adios Apple if 8.1.1 doesn't return the fast, smooth, bug-free experience we have come to expect.
