safari iOS 8.1 freeze and slow

Hello,

i have same problems with ios 8.1 with my Ipad3. when the Google search shows me the results, the blue links does not respond when I tap. Safari was as if frozen. I have to drag the page up or down so that the link becomes active again. Further the application is very slow. Today I tried iPad Air it was same thing !!!!

the problem persists since updating iOS8.0.0. I am very disappointed with Apple.

I was surprised Apple would allow gloating ,sarcastic posts continually made to their customers who are currently experiencing frustration with their Apple devices.

I'm actually surprised the moderators here actually allow as much OFF-TOPIC posts and rants that they do ... which are not (1) solution requested and (2) solution given.

SInce I answer the OFF-TOPIC posts here on this forum ... in the like manner ... as someone even posting it here in the wrong place in the first place -- I therefore expect to see their OFF-TOPIC posts deleted at any time, as much as I expect my off-topic answers to their off-topic posts to be deleted ... :-) ...

Try ignoring the posting of off-topic subjects ... that's even more rewarding ... :-) ...

In case anyone is wondering WHAT is "on topic" for this forum ... very simply it's one of TWO KINDS of posts ... (1) a user posts a request for a solution to a particular problem, or (2) a user posts the solution to a problem that a user can inplement by himself on his iPad. That's it ... and no rants about Apple, Apple policies, Apple business, speculation about why Apple is doing this or that ... anyway, you get the idea!

I've been upgraded to the newest IOS 8 for a while on my ipad3 but haven't noticed the keyboard lag or especially the freezing problem until today for some reason. I had a whole paragraph of text typed and then the screen just froze, which I had never experienced on an iPad before. Now it is happening more frequently and I hope I can finish typing this before it does.

I will give Apple credit for making iPads with strong glass, though. The amount of times I have banged the screen with my fist out of rage and frustration should have shattered it a long time ago, but it is still intact!

I sure hope you're kidding here, about how the glass face of your iPad has been treated ... :-) ... because even if it hasn't cracked, that kind of thing can cause problems with something inside your iPad.

Hey! Maybe that explains the sudden freezing and other problems!

You know ... there's a thread here on this forum for solving a dead and black iPad by pounding on the back of it! No joke, it's helped a lot of people. BUT ... what I think is that if you can go from a dead iPad to a working one by pounding on it ... then you can ALSO go from a working iPad to a dead one by pounding on it ... :-) ...

I'm just lodging my complaint about Safari freezing & spinning beachballs on my iPad Air 2 and my late 2013 Mac Book Pro. I've had this problem for at least three weeks. My OS is current on both devices and I use only downloaded software from the App store.

I hope Apple fixes this soon. As a former 20 year Microsoft user, these problems are reminding me why I abandoned Windows eleven years ago.

EDsel, always worth posting, I once got an email from the iPad pages team helping with a problem ...

That is extremely rare for the Feedback link ... just so others know and realize that they WILL NOT get a response. This is what Apple says for "Feedback" ...

"Use the form below to send us your comments. We read all feedback carefully, but please note that we cannot respond to the comments you submit."

That doesn't mean you should forget about telling Apple what you want to say ... it's just that one should not expect any answer from Apple.

AAs I have said before, my new out of the box iPad mini has exactly same issues as my other 8.1 devices

Of course any device is on its own so you'll have to proceed with one at a time. But I would be proceeding with your new purchase first, since that one provides you with the most leverage. What level of Apple Support have you been to with that iPad Mini?
