safari iOS 8.1 freeze and slow

Hello,

i have same problems with ios 8.1 with my Ipad3. when the Google search shows me the results, the blue links does not respond when I tap. Safari was as if frozen. I have to drag the page up or down so that the link becomes active again. Further the application is very slow. Today I tried iPad Air it was same thing !!!!

the problem persists since updating iOS8.0.0. I am very disappointed with Apple.

excuse me for my english, I am french.

Be that as it may, there's no denying the fact that it's still 1,475 points... and can't see the users on this forum beating a path to your door to award you points!.. LOL... :-)...

It's slow process, so it takes years to add up something significant. But, you will see increases from week to week. And that's beating some path to my door as you put it, but no path at all to your door ... :-) ...

Hi noremacniai!!

Some users appear to lead very sad lives, points? its a big world and there's lots to see and experience in the short time we are on this planet, just need my iPad to function so I can capture life rich experiences. Let me know if you make any progress, how's your life experiences going? I'm off out to climb a mountain, see friends, laugh and get away from the annoyances of this forum. Roll on 8.1.1 !

You are absolutely correct, the answer to your QUESTION is you shouldn't. Your solution is certainly viable.

If all those users on this forum who have had their iPads fixed and running fine now ... had taken your advice, they would be still waiting right now with no iPad to use ... but ... which they ARE USING right now, with iOS 8.1 and no problems.

"THAT" (what you suggest) is not a troubleshooting methodology ... :-) ...

HI SBosze,

That's precisely the question i posited at the very begging of this thread - It's just that there is a certain member intent on prolonging the pain of users by offering bogus "solutions". I'm sure I'll now get a lengthy diatribe from said member, putting in me in my place for just saying that, but no real solution that users can come back with and say "wow that actually worked" - just sarcasm and condescension.

noremacnial, Well I'm still sat here over a month later with two defunct iPads, lots of time lost which shouldn't have been, one very un happy wife now resorted to a netbook of all things (another solution). Why bother if the cause of the issues appears not to be bothered. Oh, and there's that other annoying iOS 8.1 error occurring again, only whilst using this forum, very strange. Must submit feedback to Apple to see if they can fix it as well - just ignore it noremacnial, works great!!

I hope you do know you came to a forum that has the SINGLE PURPOSE of supplying "said solutions" to other users who come here ... LOL ...

WELL ... with countless users coming back to me and thanking me for a solution that worked for them ... I would say that's about all anyone needs to know ... :-) ...

No it's not "about all anyone needs to know." Even assuming that your assertion is in fact accurate, if all your advice...carefully followed, and perhaps repeated multiple times by these users...STILL didn't correct all the problems created on their devices by iOS8, then all your blather is totally irrelevant. They still have a device which doesn't work as well as it previously did under iOS 7.

Be content that SOME users found SOME of your advice useful (for which you do deserve credit). Stop being so officious and smug with those users who are still experiencing problems despite following your entire catalog of advice.

It's accurate as these points only come from other users who have implemented these things and found them successful.

Any one individual user does not know ahead of time IF a particular solution offered is going to succeed. They ONLY know by doing it. AND ... this is specifically a forum for users to give other users solutions for their problem that they can implement themselves. There is NO OTHER REASON for coming to this forum.

In fact, that's another GREAT TECHNICAL SOLUTION to the current problems with your iPad:

1) Wait for 8.1.1 and save your time and the stress this software product is causing us all. Anyone would think Apple's programmers worked for Facebook!

2) Use a paper book, you don't need to back it up and it doesn't crash

3) Who needs Safari, get outside and see the world with your own eyes, its amazing

4) Speak to people, don't email, no points needed

Wow, tough crowd. I'm glad I didn't suggest trashing the iPad and getting a Surface. To my earlier point, we've all paid a premium for this device and the software doesn't work. And Apple isn't admitting to the problem as evidenced by several phone calls to support. They refuse to acknowledge others are having this problem. As a company, why host a community support blog if you don't monitor it and respond to your customer's issues. Or let us know a fix is in progress? My time is priceless and ill spent doing QA for Apple!
